Yes the problem is the increase in dose, you seem to get the side effects again, I went from 20m to 40m two weeks ago, and all the horrible side effects came back, no appetite, couldn’t sleep shaking hot flushes, just awful.
I have been taking the med for just over 5 weeks, I get maybe two days of the low mood lifting, and the black cloud, and maybe for two days I go back to low mood again.
I think that the drug will work for you, but it’s all about when, everyone is different, some people it works very fast and others it’s much longer, some people have said several months.
I have had this drug before many years ago, and it worked for me then, so I tell myself it will work again, I am sure it will work for you, so don’t give up, it’s an awful battle but we must fight it.
I wanted to thank you for replying! I guess we’re all in this together and sharing your experience.
I’ve been on lexapro a few times over the last few years and recently switched to fluoxetine. I’ve been on 10mg for the last 8!weeks and just switched to 20mg, so yes I feel like I’m starting the symptoms all over again. MD thought I should adjust in 2 weeks. I’m hoping because anxiety is running thru my veins all the time, headache, nausea and holy crap the fatigue is crazy!
I’ve heard about these shots called Levium that you can take with SSRI’s, docto formulated. I was thinking about ordering some.
I have had success with Prozac in past years, but I cannot take much. My body is very sensitive to it. I will have side effects from it. I take 10 mg every other day.
