I had the most scary experience whilst driving on the motorway, out of nowhere I started to feel weird, I looked down at my hands on the steering wheel and it felt like I wasn't in control of them, my vision seemed blurry and I was shaking. I just had to pull over straight away and get out of the car on the hard shoulder. This has never happened to me before. I take medication for anxiety wondering if I need to see GP about this

Panic attack while driving on motorway
My wife suffered something similar a few years ago and ended up using CBT to overcome this. Well worth discussing with your GP
I had CBT years ago when I was first diagnosed with anxiety but yes maybe worth getting back on that again as this is something new for me
hi are you new to medication just wondered as in the beginning medication can heighten your anxiety you done the right thing in pulling over yea if your worried then maybe have a chat with your doctor.
I've been taking the same medication for years so I'm thinking maybe I should increase it perhaps but would discuss with GP first
yeah best thing to do ive seen a few posts over the years of folk feeling like you.look up on the right hand side of the pinned posts and see how others have dealt with this hopefully something can help you.
Hey. I'm at work now so this comment is just a reminder, but I've been there. Do you have any muscular pains as well? Like neck, shoulder, chest, oand/or back?
Had this today. Scary. I'm convinced I'm dying.
Well people are getting so angry while driving that even who doesn't suffer from anxiety gets panic.
But you should visit your doctor for sure
