I just want all of this to stop :( I’ve been in excruciating pain today from jaw pain arm pain leg pain chest pain headaches dizzy out of breath. I a college athlete and I just went home last week, I really don’t wanna tell my mom that I can’t cope but this is a lot😭I’m so scared something is wrong with my heart but I’ve been to cardiologist and test numerous times. It just feels like I’m useless to myself and just have to suffer.

You can always get a second opinion.

However unfortunately these can all be signs of anxiety, do you think if you reach out to your parents you will be able to release some of the tension you’re building up in your body from anxiety.

Are you seeing a therapist, or taking and meds these are options that can help.

I wanna reach out to them about it again but I’m just so nervous. I’ve went to a therapist a couple of months ago but we weren’t really connecting. She couldn’t understand the physical symptoms I was having.

I’ve really been losing my faith, it’s like my mind is telling me that I don’t need it but my heart is still fighting to look to god for hope, any tips?

Hi I'm a Christian and one thing that helps keep my faith is that I have survived even my worst panic attack. I know this isn't a secret and I'm sure you have thought of this too :) the other things that helps is just knowing he loves me. I'm sure there is a reason he doesn't snap his fingers and take this away. Sometimes I just have faith that I will learn to deal with this. Keep your head up. I k ow it's not easy and lastly, I think sometimes the devil says see he isnt real or else he would of healed you.

Hi Mell

Really sorry to hear how you are feeling.

I too had many of the same symptoms of breathlessness even though I am fit, dizziness, and in my case nausea and feeling anxious and depressed following a life trauma and got over it through setting myself little challenges every day and ignoring and trying not to be afraid of the symptoms etc. Googling symptoms and worrying it is heart disease will make it worse even though it is really hard to stop yourself. You need to accept what your doctors and test results say.

Excercise was particularly valuable in my case, running just half a mile 3 times a week and fast walking an hour or so a day, however breathless I feel or felt. Positive thinking is also very important, all of which can be very hard I do realise and know from experience.

I also took antidepressants, it took 4 months and 2 dose increases to overcome the worst of it. I am still very well 2 years down the line but are still on them and life is very full and rewarding now. I just have a bit of breathlessness sometimes still but are not at all anxious or depressed any more and am doing more than I was even before becoming ill and most importantly enjoying it.

The physical symptoms are very common with anxiety disorders. I also found therapists often did not know about or understand physical symptoms.

I agree it will help alot to talk to your parents, you will need their understanding and support. None of it is your fault. Anxiety is an illness for which you need treatment if you have it. Perhaps you may need the support of antidepressants to over come it which infact many people do and gain great benefit from. They can be difficult to take at first so do ensure you have caring support around you if you do need them. Talk to your doctor about it.

Do feel free to message me a anytime if it will be helpful.

Very best wishes.

Kim
