Hard lump scalp

Hi I’m new here, I’ve tried to find a search of lumps on scalp on this site so I don’t have to repeat a question that may have been asked before, but couldn’t find it. Was wondering if anyone has had a hard lump on their scalp and if so what was it...thank you

It could be something as simple as an infected hair follicle, my son had one one time, the dr said it was from oil build up, they kid if scraped the skin and got it out and with antibiotic cream it went away! Definitely get it checked out though!

Could also be a cyst!

Thank you for your replies Dr said its Sebaceous Cyst and being referred for it’s removal
