I feel faint, lightheaded, dizzy and sad. I've been checked out and it's confirmed to probably be just my med changes. Could anything more dangerous happen? Im weaning off effexor suuuper slowly and started abilify a few weeks ago. I'm so scared something bad is gonna happen but I'm hopeful too because I've never tried an antipsychotic until now.

Still trying to come off effexor.. Feeling faint every day
Hi Shelby, I just wrote you a long response and it got deleted. Let me try a shorter
version regarding medications. I had been where you are with regards to being
on multiple meds for anxiety and yet going in and out of intense Panic Attacks where
I thought I was going to die. The after affects were just as frightening. I lost who I was
for a long time, not remembering situations that's how drugged up I was.
You can't be up and down on meds w/o having adverse affects. Getting off one medication is hard enough, substituting it with another can add further stress.
Plus you are anticipating the MRI results (which I had as well) and the upcoming
EEG (which I also had) Your state of anxiety is being prompted by too many issues
including medication at one time.
It might be a good idea to have your family and you have a consult with your prescribing
physician as to what the best options are for you at this time since you continue to
present with panic and anxiety daily. You know I care about you and want nothing more
than to see you get yourself back again, like I did. I'm always here to support you. xx
Super slow Is the way to go. Not to say you will won’t feel crummy. You may have some days of severe depression. But after about a week being off you will start to feel better. Are you on another antidepressant in addition to the Abilify?
