Experiences with

Abilify

I'm looking for other parents who has experience with this combo or Abilify alone.

My psychiatrist had me add 5 mg. of Abilify a few weeks ago. He just increased the Abilify to 10 mg. and I feel even more shaky and I'm not sleeping as well as I was before. Has anyone else had their symptoms increase with Abilify?

My GP added Abilify to my Zoloft, and I started to feel better, but then I started awakening every couple hours with nightmares. Finally got off Abilify, what a struggle. We tried Buspar, made me really ill. Totally changed zoloft to Pristiq, no change in anxiety still high.

Maybe I'm wrong about this, although I also don't like the fact that Abilify causes or worsens ED, which is a problem of mine already.

The last med is zoloft and Abilify. I quit the Abilify cause it kept me awake all night. They won’t change me from zoloft and I don’t think it does anything for anxiety. I’m stuck in a very low spot.

I'm going up on my Wellbutrin as well as adding Abilify, and I'm super anxious about what it's gonna do to me. I know a lot of you may have similar fears when changing meds.....trying to stay positive and hopeful. Thanks for being there !

He is also on a stimulate and 5mg Abilify. Since adding Qelbree we successfully weaned him off SSRI. Cheers 🥂 Anyway my question is how does Qelbree make you FEEL? He would never be able to differentiate what it does or describe it.

Anyone ever had side effects from any of these?? Im feeling crazy!!!!

I was on 2.5 mg of Abilify for about a month. I felt sick most of that time. Now I’m going off of it because I still have the side effects. I feel sick to my stomach, have headaches and my skin and muscles ache.

I've tried four different meds since then & am currently on Zoloft & Abilify. I am still having a difficult time managing my depressive sx's & negative thoughts but feel a little bit of relief from the days I had no hope, felt suicidal & could barely function.

Abilify was horrible and made him fixate on buying things. We originally started on guanfacine immediate release because he couldn’t take a pill and it was compounded to a liquid.

I've been scared to take Abilify after I experienced Jason on it.

They recommended that we stop the Abilify but continue w the Vyvanse. He had a meltdown at the park last Sat after playing baseball with myself and some neighbors kids that we play with regularly. After that we stopped the Vyvanse.

Hi everyoneI am on Venlafaxine 126mgs because it's all I can tolerate. I am very sensitive to drugs. My Dr has advised me to add Ability but I am very wary about it. I did add mirtazapine but it made me more depressed. I am worried about side effects or getting worse. I would appreciate feedback

Can anyone share their experience with Abilify in kids? We just started a 2mg evening dose today for my son who is almost 7. We take “evening” meds around 4p because that’s what works for his anxiety and regulation.

I’m on Prozac now with Abilify as a supplement. Thanks for any help.

I went to therapy and tried numerous medications, some of which include wellbutrin, abilify, zoloft, etc. Many gave me adverse side effects. I got on a good path, finally, and resumed what most would call a normal life. In my early twenties, I was actually medication free and enjoying life.

For reference, he is also taking Abilify in the mornings now as well. Thanks for any experiences you can share!

No new prescription but I do take Wellbutrin, vyvase and abilify as well as Lack of sleep is taking a toll on me. I started with RLS in 2021 when I caught covid. It comes and goes lasting for a night or two. This time it’s lasting so long and I’m not sure it’s going to disappear anytime soon.

I’m taking 200mg of Zoloft and 2mg of Abilify daily for my OCD. Has anyone tried Luvox before? Did it work? I’m thinking of maybe switching meds. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
