Does anyone feel foggy headed and sort of spaced out. Have been feeling like this for awhile now and it's beginning to scare me.

Foggy headed
Hi ward146 I felt like that for many months, I’m finally feeling better on a higher medication dose. Hope you feel better soon.
I think we’ve spoke before, yes I do everyday , had this feeling for three months now, fed up with it
Yep, sometimes when I wake up, I feel like I'm in a total fog, not myself, and just off. It usually wears off...and yeah...it has been awhile like this. After a recent physical where I had blood labs, my GP basically said, "Well, it's not anything in your labs, so it's probably medication." I take a beta-blocker that probably doesn't help this (plus other meds), I need to be more active, and I sleep during the day on the account of my job. I'd look into medications or supplements you might be taking that cause this or maybe you could take that will aid this. It's definitely not unusual for anxiety. Think about all that high-strung/stressed time...our brain eventually has to just scream, "ENOUGH!" Just an assumption there, but it's a very common complaint. I wouldn't worry yourself silly, but I would recommend bringing it up to your doctor at your next visit. Make a note. Perhaps he/she can look at what you're taking and see if there is anything might be exacerbating or causing this. Best wishes and hope the fog moves along.
Yes, I also suffer with pelvic pain which probably makes it worse, I think it does impact on the tension in my body. Am due to see my doctor soon. Thanks!
You bet and I wouldn't doubt it has something to do with that. All of that tension all day long, I'm guessing your nervous system just wants a break. Add in any meds that can make you feel a bit off and it can feel awkward. Best of luck with that visit, I hope they get you squared away!
That foggy head, spaced out feeling has been with me for many, many years. I'm 76, diagnosed 5 yrs ago. Sometimes meclizine helps, sometimes not. I have taken that for many years, long before diagnosis. It has actually been my primary symptom, as well as weakness in my legs. I'm fortunate to not have had much worse symptoms. When it has been extremely bad for a long period, such as 2 - 3 weeks, my Neuro has given me pred paks, and one time IV solumedrol. I don't give in to that easily, because the treatment ends up being worse than the symptom, but then, it goes away finally. Don't worry about it excessively, because that will cause you to have anxiety over that symptom. Best to get more rest, and relax, be calm and endure it unless it is extremely bad. I don't drive when I am that way. Sometimes I even feel fine when I first get up, but later it sets in, and sometimes lets up and goes away. I have also been on Lexapro at times and did not notice any less of it. (When you take Lexapro, it takes about 3 weeks for it to take effect, then if you decide to come off of it, another weaning down period.) So, to me, unless you actually need that for anxiety, I would not recommend that, because it lessens your ability to feel any emotion. I prefer to be able to feel my own emotions, unless the outside stresses are too much for me to be able to handle. Blessings to you, friend.
I have foggiNess on and off. Changing meds Tues. Good luck
I hope they work for you!
