Constant anxiety about health

I have had atrial fibrillation in the past which was treated with surgery. After 4 years free of problems I’m now having palpitations that are worrying me sick. I know worrying will only make things worse, but can’t seem to overcome it. I’m due to see a cardiologist in August but that seems an eternity away. The anxiety is constant, worrying about what may happen at any moment. I’d be grateful for any reassuring words!

I would think with your previous history you might be able to move the appointment up sooner.

Worst case, you could go to emergency and explain your history of a fib and symptoms you are currently having.

If they don't find anything of concern, you'll feel relief. If they do find something, well, at least you'll be in the right place to get it treated.

You've tolerated that procedure before so, if needed, you will again.

Its a win-win either way, because you'll have an answer and solution.

I'd call up the dr first and see if you can be seen soon.
