I have been suffering from anxiety for 20 years now but since last year when my mom past it seems like it has gotten worse.I feel like I can’t breathe all the time also I get a lot of migraines.Does any one do anything for anxiety? I don’t take any meds or do any drugs .

You might want to talk to a doctor or therapist, especially since your mom died, they’ll help you cater a personal treatment; there’s nothing wrong with using drugs if they can help. Enough stress/anxiety can trigger migraines so the trick might be to address your anxiety.

You have to consult a psychologist , And explain your situation. I have Followed Few things when i felt anxiety.

1. Share your problem with your loved one's else with your best friend or share it with mirror. Sharing the problem is major solution for this.

2. When you feel anxious just go away from there and listen good music or do some other work. try to avoid that.

3. Sleep on the floor and expand your legs and arms little and turn your head to right or left and take deep breath and release.. Always think that you are the one who is controlling your mind..your mind not controlling you.

4. Sit on a mat and sit very straight and close your eyes and concentrate on breath. This is meditation it will gives you good relief.

5. Remember that it's really important don't and never put pressure on mind.. Ex:-When your boss scolds you or shout on you take it like no worries. that's not everything.. remove that pressure from your mind.

6. Really important smile everyday.. and moment if u don't get that watch some videos like American's funny moments. else some comedy shows.

7. Sleep properly if you sleep 8 to 9 hours that's really fine and great even 7 also...but if you sleep more than 10 hours or less than 6 hours seriously you are going to face problems.

8. Final one.... okay i went with all those but still i can't.. I wanna say one thing please don't give up because we are humans we did everything invented so many things with god grace or with our talents whatever it is we did those.. but you have whole power in you..you can do anything...Let us try our best..don't kill your body with all bad habits.

9. Live healthy and love people. Be good, be happy. Care for yourself care for your loved one. if you like all the above reply must :-)

Hi, like you I’ve suffered anxiety for a loonnnnnggg time. Sometimes it’s bearable and just makes us a little quirky, but sometimes we have a life event like you’ve suffered with the loss of your mother and we can’t deal with it on our own anymore. Even “normal” people often need extra help and support with a loss like that, so of course it’s going to make our anxiety worse. As others have said it’s time for you to see a specialist. Meds can help but even just speaking with a therapist will be a great start.

You just have to do something, help is right around the corner and 20 years is too long to be feeling so bad.
