Allergies linked to anxiety? 🤔

Hey guys.

Has anyone been suffering from hay-fever or similar just lately? The last 2 weeks I've developed this really annoying cough but mainly first thing in the morning which has now been accompanied by a blocked up nose and quite a few out of the blue sneezes.

Today however these normal first signs of hay-fever have somewhat escalated, this morning I had a coffee at a customers house, stood up to leave and literally lost my balance all together, I was so dizzy, my eyes wouldn't focus. This passed after 30/60 seconds but has left me feeling so unsteady I came home got into bed fell asleep for 2 hours, and I've woke up feeling quite uneasy. My right eye seems hazy, my hearing has all but gone, and I'm even finding it a mission to catch up with the telly, it's like everything is moving so fast.

This has now obviously caused my heart to race and now I'm panicking the pressure in my head and my dizziness might be something else.

I've read that's all this can be related to sinuses and allergies which in turn relates to anxiety. Has anyone else experienced this? Xx 🍃

Sounds like something to do with your Eustachian tubes which can get clogged up because of allergies. Which would also explains the hearing loss, balance problems and the odd pressure in your head. Try Flonase and some Claritin for a couple days. I’m just now getting over something similar.

Yeah. Mine was too. I kept thinking the worse and it’s taken 2 long months but it’s finally working. But I also waited more than a month to even start anything for it. I’m just relieved it’s finally getting better. You will be just fine. :) I hope you get some relief soon! 🙂

Hey I know you got solid answers on this, but I wanted to reassure you what you’ve read is really true (cause you know with anxiety we need to be reassured a few times that everything really is okay). This has been a very bad season for allergies where I live (Ohio). I felt like I had rocks behind my eyes and even got the bruising around my eyes (which of course freaked me out and lead me to google it). I’ve had that balance issue you talk about too, and yeah it’s always an inner ear thing, they can be congested or irritated and that will cause a slew of weird sensations. I second the recommendation of Flonase, that will help with a lot of what you feel (the generic versions work just as well).

Good luck!
