Hi ever since I had PTSD I had issues falling asleep. The only way to healthily deal with this is to get rid of all the adrenaline which is doing this.I find a hour of non stop breastroke so tiring or jogging. The lazy way is to get diazepam which is far better than any antidepressants. X

You may get it on prescription but many buy from safe UK sites

Diazepam is not a good choice of medications for insomnia. It is extremely habit forming and once you develop a tolerance to this med it will not be very effective to remedy insomnia. Benzodiazepines like diazepam are highly addictive and can be hell to get off of. Better choices if you take meds for insomnia would include Lunesta or Ambien XR, which are both effective over the long term, however these are also habit forming. I would consider an antidepressant before taking sleep needs. Mirtazepine has sedative like fx in addition to being an antidepressant, and many people find this medication very helpful in getting a good night's sleep. Wishing you good sleep tonight.

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this. I used to struggle with the same thing and it was always a vicious cycle. My anxiety would keep me up until late, which caused me to never be well rested, which then gave me more anxiety. There are plenty of medications out there that can help with not being able to sleep, but I would try some natural remedies before that. Something that helps me is turning off all electronics at least an hour before I want to go to bed and reading a book. If that doesn't work I will try meditating or some light yoga to relax both my body and mind. Along with both of those things, having a routine where I go to bed at the same time every day has helped my body learn to tell itself when it's time to sleep. However, everyone has different schedules and should go to sleep based on their personal schedule, so I used this calculator to determine when that time is for me: sleepopolis.com/education/s...

Hi tinkerbel19, the lack of sleep is just horrible makes you feel even weaker and unable to do anything

Makes me very weepy and don’t feel I can move from the bed or sofa

Scares me in a way as I used to have good sleep pattern, but fighting the anxiety and physical symptoms is bad enough and worse without proper sleep x
