Ok - I’m going off Zoloft, as I said. Today felt kinda dream like, I was lightheaded, but actually felt more like “me”.
My question: For those who have gone off of it, are mood swings common? I’m at 12.5mg and am so susceptible to side effects. I just got mad for like no reason earlier and have calmed down. It feels like how it felt when I took birth control, ughhhh.
I would like to share that my experience with zoloft made me quite moody.
I would be very irritable one second then the next happy and feeling good.
It was very annoying. When I bumped my dose up to 50 the side effects got even worse. I would wake out of my sleep with anxiety. I came off of it without weaning because it was so horrible.
Same!!! I hate it. My doc suggested weaning off and I have one more week. It made me feel so weird. Like, it felt like my memories were almost suppressed at times or something. And depersonalization.. and weird dream/foggy feelings. Thanks so much for your post!!!

Zoloft didn’t do me much good either. Getting off of it wasn’t easy either. Mood swings, aggression, and as you said foggy feelings. Been there. Hope you get better soon.

Yeah I’ve had foggy feelings the whole time but today was particularly foggy. Not bad, but just odd!
I came off 100mg zoloft after being on it for 15 years.
It stopped working for me and i do feel better off of it. Am now on seroquel.
Aa far as coming off, i experienced light headedness, some 'brain zaps', and a weird swimmy feeling if i turned my head too fast.
I also was way more anxious and depressed during the process of weaning and switching meds.
I would say the worst of it passed in a couple weeks. The seroquel helped my anxiety but I'm still a work in progress with the depression. Have my first appointment with new med dr 9n friday and will be asking to add an antidepressent and/or switch up the seroquel.
I too, feel more like myself again, in a good way.
I went from 100mg to 50mg for a week then to zero. Lol. But i did start the seroquel as well so i think that helped.
Also, i tried cymbalta (no go- kepr me up for 36hrs) and remeron (gave me horrible restless legs).
