Does anyone feel breathless when a weather system comes in and it changes the pressure system because I feel this way breathless
Is this just me: Does anyone feel breathless... - Anxiety Support
Is this just me
Remain calm and breathe easy everything is going to be alright
I feel short of breath when my anxiety peeks,... it's just scary...
And sometimes when the weather gets bad, I think it's a firm of clastrapobia..
I'm just trying to see things for what they are... and accept... as much as I can.
Hope you feel better...
It think an increase in barometric pressure causes me more dizziness than usual and that can cause me to get anxious. I actually got a barometer and put it up in my house to see if it was a coincidence and I don’t think that it is.
Hi apayett24
I have always found breathlessness one of my main symptoms of my anxiety disorder. I was really ill 20 months ago but am pretty well fully recovered now but still have breathlessness particularly in the mornings. I just ignore it and get on with my day. I have found running, just a very short run of about 1/4 mile very helpful. It is hard to run due to the breathlessness but afterwards, often for the rest of the day, the breathlessness disappears. I think it is because exercise triggers the feel good chemicals in the brain. If I do not feel up to a run I do a fast walk instead, often a dog walk, and that helps alot also.
When really ill I felt frightened all the time, could not eat or sleep and felt very sick most of the time. My heart was pounding and I often felt out of my body. I had never experienced anything like it before so it was very frightening and I became depressed as well. Therefore my little bit of breathlessness feels like nothing by comparison.
I have not noticed it is linked to the weather by the way, it is interesting that you have.
Very best wishes to you and all who suffer from anxiety or depression.
