Muscle spasms won’t stop under my left breast area

kellylorraine899 profile image

Slightly freaking out now saying I’ve had muscle spasms for the last half a hour under my left breast and they haven’t stopped yet. Had them constant on and off last two days as well. Anything I can do to try and stop them? I’m sure it’s just muscles in that area and that’s it but since it’s in my heart area I always worry it’s something else serious and freaking out.

That’s interesting. I have been on Mirtazapine. I was on 30mg a day but have now tappered to 3.75mg. I have been having muscle spasms in my face, eye, leg and some other very strange places. They are gradually reducing but I’m sure it has something to do with the Mirtazapine.

They seem scary. And the next thing you know you are constantly checking to see if they are still there. But please believe me - there is absolutely nothing wrong. The nervous system in out bodies does strange things and almost always they mean nothing - nothing at all. As in your case. Accept it. IT WILL PASS.

Hopefully still got them this morning the ones in my leg have stopped now I’m moving around just trying to ignore my abdomen ones and staying positive and hoping they go. I do think stress that’s caused them as I’ve been worrying bout stuff last few days, just hate how my brain automatically think heart blockage or cancer.

Our imagination works overtime and causes many of us a bunch of unwanted grief - but I just know - you are going to be all right. Do your best to willingly accept the symptoms - knowing - however strange they seem to you - they are perfectly normal.
