Chest tightness

I woke up this morning and my chest has been so tight in the middle, almost like there’s an elephant sitting on my chest and hard to breathe. It’s making me really uncomfortable and panicky.. I’m debating on heading to the ER. 😭 I don’t know what to do.

I would go straight to A&E, just get it checked out. Don't stay wondering, sooner you get there the better.

Is it far? Is there anyone who can go with you.

I decided to come get it checked out.. it’s not easing up. I’m alone. ☹️ Currently in the waiting room.

Glad you're there.

Wish I could sit there with you.

But, thinking of You.

They should come for you soon to at least do an ECG , blood pressure etc and take some bloods ??

Long with chest complaints. I’m just scared. 😕

I know, it's an emotional time of the year for you too.

If they don't come soon, tell someone it's getting worse and you're scared.

I’m hoping it’s just anxiety. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Fingers crossed.

I just had an EKG done, I’m waiting on them to do bloodwork now.

I have this regular,it lasts all day until I sleep.

Hi. I've just seen my doctor yesterday about upper body pain and he says it may be chostochondritis. Can i ask you with yours do you ever get a stabbing pain in your back and when you press certain areas do you get sharp shooting pains? I get this if i press right side of ribs and front of right rib cage.

Hi Alan

I don't think it's generally advisable to use both a topical NSAID and an oral NSAID at the same time.

I suppose it would depend on the total dose ??

Just a thought.

Paracetamol OR Co-co-codamol could be taken with either topical or oral NSAIDS. Another way to 'enhance' the pain relief a little would be to have a coffee (not decaf) made with milk when taking the NSAIDS.

Hi Mary ,yes I’m unable to take oral naproxen or ibuprofen any more ,I do find the gel works as well if not better than tablets, thanks for the suggestion as I’m gonna make myself a coffee ☕️ enjoy your evening 😊

This guy is worth subscribing to he can explain things logically, however there are lots of people with anxiety who get this and my worst flair ups are when I get stressed .best wishes,p.s yes I get the same pains.
