I've been dealing with chest tightness for a month now and i think it is anxiety because the doctors i've been going to says that my chest is healthy but im not 100% sure if it is. Is it normal for my chest tightness to last this long? how do i cure it?

Hi Chandra27

As an anxiety sufferer its hard to get convinced that heart is healthy because every time you are anxious the symptoms come back.

I 've suffered with left sided chest pains for years and Drs did investigations all normal. Now I know I have to live with these chest pains as long as I still suffer from anxiety. I notice the chest pains a lot when anxiety levels are high but don't get any when I'm relaxed or highly active.

Try to observe if your chest tightness comes when you are anxious and observe when you are relaxed, this will explain what's going on. If your tightness comes when you are highly active, exercise/ running then you need to see your Dr asap.

Above all just go back to your Dr if worried as this may cause anxiety to worsen.

All the best

Most of us if not all of us deal with the same number of symptoms. Going to your doctor is the first thing you should do to make sure you are OK. If the doctor is telling you that you are OK then you need to believe him. If you do not then get more done by a specialist.

I've had chest pain for about 4 months now. Never really noticed it with my anxiety until about 2 months ago. I've had all the tests done (EKG's, Stress tests, holter monitor, echo cardiogram, CT scan, and all the blood work you can think of), and still there is nothing. At some point I started to think, "well if I was going to have a heart attack it would have already happened by now"

It takes time to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, but it is totally possible. Trust is a key thing and this trust I also put all of it on my faith, God and Jesus. Trust that everything is OK and trust that They are the only ones who know when my time is to leave this place. I hope this helps.

Oh and I still get the symptoms.... But it is OK. =)

Hi Devin76oh

True, we have to trust and have faith in God that all is well indeed, its not yet over until HE says its over.
