Stress at work and change of meds

Yes I am thankful for my job, don’t get me wrong. It’s so hard to work with anxiety and not feeling well in general. I’m trying. I really am!!! It’s never enough. Yesterday it was so busy and I was frazzled. By the time I got home I couldn’t relax at all and didn’t sleep well last night. God please give me strength to get through!!!

The dr also switched me from Viibryd to Lexapro so my tummy hurts and I’m dizzy😥

I hope everyone is hanging in there doing the best they can! 💛

Hi. So sorry to hear you are having this level of stress at work, plus having to deal with anxiety and physical symptoms. It's terrible I know, I've been there. You will get through it just keep putting in your most honest and best effort at work and know that that is always enough. You can't expect more than that of yourself 😊. I wonder though, because I know that self criticism is a common personality trait in people living with anxiety, if your assessment of "it's never enough" is really accurate or if it's something you have assumed based on your interpretation of other's words or body language. Have you checked in with coworkers or your boss to get honest feedback on your performance? If your feelings of "it's never enough" are in fact accurate, perhaps your workload is unrealistic and you need to advocate for yourself or align with a person or department that can help you? Or, are there gaps you can identify in your skillset that you can improve upon to better perform at work? Of course I have no idea what type of environment you work in or if these suggestions are feasible at all but I thought I'd share with you what I would do if I were in your situation 😊 Take all the breaks you are entitled to and try listening to some short meditation to help relax you in the middle of your busy workday. Wishing you all the best 😊

Thank you! Well I do have room for improvement in myself at work but it’s not been easy. It has also been so busy at times lately I get overwhelmed and can’t keep up. I’m not so energetic 😥. Sometimes coworkers are downright mean to me too but there is nothing I can do. I have tried to no avail. I will hang in there!

I've always said that when someone treats a coworker badly it says more about them than the person they are mistreating. It really bewilders me when I see that type of behaviour and I feel sorry for people who do it - something is going on in their lives and they are taking it out on you to make themselves feel better. There is never an excuse to treat a coworker that way regardless of how busy it is at work. Don't let it get to you. There's really nothing you can do about that type of disrespect other than to reply with a smile "thank you for your feedback" Always take the high road in that situation!
