I live outside London, I gather you are in the states. I also get the feeling of pressure in my chest and I can,t breathe enough,it is very distressing! Sometimes I can,t believe anxiety can do that to us, but it does.

Yeah I’m in Cali. My obsession nowadays is my breathing- I’m focused on it even when I don’t want to. I get my mind busy but comes back to it. It’s frustrating everyday.
You are same as myself,focus on it most of the time,I get good days. Do you take medication? I have been on and off drugs for many years, I,m 71 and still here so try not to worry about it, not easy though is it!

Thank you Delythn. I do take medication. The world is just a scary place and I’m just worried all the time. If I’m not focused on myself then it’s all the what-if’s out there. That’s great you’re not on meds. How do you live life?
I have good and bad days,I go out but have a phobic feeling in shops and can,t wait to get home,when I,m home I feel depressed. I have worked most of my life,brought up 3 children and 2 grandchildren came to me a lot. I was married 40 years to a policeman who was verbally and mentally abusive,I left 7 years ago. I came off my antidepressant because it affected my heart, I wish I hadn,t now. I think we are vulnerable people who suffer this anxiety, everything in this world affects me and dishonesty, sometimes I wish I could live in isolation away from all the bad things and people. You will survive but it’s a hard journey, I hope you have support at home, people do not understand unless they experience it themselves. It is 7 o clock in the morning here.
Hi, I suffer with anxiety in several forms but I’ve not experienced this one myself however a close friend recently has, the thing that has helped was a visit to the doctor to get the breathing checked out, once it was ruled out as anything else it became a lot easier to control as the what if’s about it were already ticked off. As for all the other anxiety causes, I am the same as I very quickly over think anything, I find myself preparing for work arguments that never happen (and probably never were!) and social situations that are actually quite relaxing, always remember when you can’t sleep, there are so many of us around the planet feeling the same - you are not alone!
Hi mz_rachel, l was in your shoes before but thankfully I'm better now. What changed my life was wim Hoff breathing technique. Google it, it might change your life like it did mine. Also, turmeric has produced positive changes in my blood pressure. Hope this helps 😂 cheers
