Happy Boxing Day everyone,

I’m fed up with my anxiety now had it for years and nothing seems to work for me, my heart rate is always high and I’m constantly thinking I’m going to have a heart attack. I know I’m not as Iv been to the doctors lots about it. They said it’s just anxiety, I take propranolol. Does anyone else have fast heart rate ?

That’s not so good I hope you feel better soon, anxiety is just a pain in the butt. I had a sinus infection 2yr ago and still have issues with my nose. Get to the doctors and get well soon x

Did u go to a ENT? Do u get headaches?

The next time I go to docs I’m going to tell them I want a referral to ENT as they gave me antibiotics and a nose spray but it doesn’t work. I get head aches sometimes, it’s all connected so I wouldn’t worry to much x

I Am On 3 Different BP Meds. They've Checked My Cardio Inside & Out. All I Hear Is "Everything Looks Fine". Really ? Then Why Am I On 3 Different BP Meds A Day ? The Doc Says " So You Won't Have A Stroke " !*... I HATE Hearing My Heart Flying In My Ears Sometimes...That's When I KNOW The BP's Up. Heck, At One Time I Had To Stop Myself. I Had Gotten OCD With This BP Monitor & If It Was Up ? It Made My ANXIETY Worse. [ it's odd, several times my heart rate would be about 140 and my BP be normal ] But An Anxiety Adrenaline Dump Can Be Dangerous. Been To The ER With BP's Way Over 210 over The Upper 180's or/ So, & Readings Of Heart Rates Around 170 !* [ that is why it can be dangerous. you gotta take that seriously ]. I'm There About 6 Hours & Everything's Fine With The Ole' Ticker & They Send Me Home. [ after they give you a shot of Ativan or something and it all comes down ]... I'm Like, I Take All My BP Meds Daily As Told & End Up Here ?* [ i know once you start these bp meds, you can't suddenly just stop ]... So I Had To Be REAL About It. ANXIETY ATTACKS Can Give You A Stroke !... Then I Had To Accept Also, " How Many Times Have "Benzo's [ Xanax, Ativan, Valium Ect...] Saved My Life or/ Kept Me From Having A Stroke" ?*... I Am On Paxil, That Is What I Refer To As "Base Anxiety Buffers" & Then Xanax [ Benzo's ] I Refer To "Clutch Drugs" For Anxiety & Panic Attacks !... I Look At It As No Different Than A Diabetic Needing Insulin or/ A Asthma Patient Taking A Base Pill Everyday w/ A Emergency Inhaler In Case Of An Attack. Mine Is Just In My Brain & My Psychical Symptoms Are Just As Real.... Heck, My Own Psychiatrists Told Me That One Of Her Patients Had Been Given "Xanax" By Her Cardio Doctor To Help Keep Her BP Down.

Prayers For Ya !*

Know What You're Going Through.....

Hi, Lauren85 All you said is true. Anxiety is the pain in the ass. I too suffered from it. But when I talk to my psychoanalytic it turns to be other issues, in my situation surpressed emotions. Did you seek any consultation?

2. I know I will be cruel, but try not to pay attention to your heart beating. I mean you were afraid, but how often did anything happen to you physically? If you pay lesser and lesser attention to it, it will eventually go away.

I woke up at 3 this morning my heart was going mad racing,i sat up took deep breaths splaahed cold water on my face tried to chill,it slowed a bit then i went back to sleep i think its too much sugar with me

I know how you feel! I'm exactly the same, I'm obsessed with my heart beat, I am constantly aware of my heart beating which caused my anxiety, I get a lot of skipped heart beats too. I have good days and bad days.

Hi:) I've been waking up gasping for air at night lately. I think it's because i have the beginning of a cold....sore throat and probably nasal drip causing congestion. I took one Tylenol PM last night and got a good night of sleep.. A small chip of xanax throughout the day helps me tremendously. Every time i feel like i can't breath/anxiety or i have a gastro issue, my heart starts to race and i take a chip of xanax with my gasX or tums or cold medicine. Just a little chip of xanax calms me down within 5 mins. Going for a check up soon. Will keep you posted.

Hello, sorry to hear about this. It does sound like anxiety, especially if the doctor has tested you for other things. I was prescribed a beta blocker (bisoprolol fumarate) to control the adrenalin and it works most of the time. Hope you find something that works for you. Happy New Year !

I have been suffering from heart palpitations past 1 year now, everything little thing seems to trigger it eg.. getting out of my car, or getting out from my bed, its the small things that trigger it, i also feel scared thinking its more then just anxiety, i have days tht i will just sit and cry, just want them to go away, ive also been on propanlol 10mg 1 tablet a day past 8 months, tbh they have helped me alot..doctors reassure me its just anxiety but i think the anxiety comes after i have the palpitations 😕, I suppose we have to take this a day at a time, do u aloso find that certain foods can trigger the palpitations? Because ive felt that, anything oiley spicey fatty, seems to worsen my palpitations, just wanna be myself again.. here if u ever wanna talk x
