Depressed After Panic Attack?

This morning I flew out of bed thinking I overslept for work again. I didn’t but I felt so shaky afterwards and it took me a while to calm down. When I finally did I just felt super depressed. Does anyone else feel this?

Yes, it's typical from having anxiety disorder. When you have anxiety and especially a panic attack, it uses a lot of energy and it's a drain on your body physically. So it's common to feel fatigue and physically exhausted as well as mentally exhausted after it. Try to be gentle with yourself and let your body physically recover and recharge. This will allow your mind and spirit to follow.

Yes, it is a common response for your body to "bottom out" after the physical and mental "high" of the panic. Was this the first time your body has responded this way?

No but it was the first time I was aware of feeling depressed after.

So how did you deal with the "depressed" feelings afterward? Do you use any medication or natural remedies for your panic/anxiety?
