Doom: Has anybody had the feeling of... - Anxiety Support
Doom
I was dealing with it for months, til I found out it was hormone related, low estrogen levels got me. Got treated with hormone replacement therapy and that feeling went away.
Yes I’ve felt the sense of impending Doom for 30 years. That’s what anxiety is a fear of something happening to you in many different ways.
Good to know I’m not alone... I hope it’s not my estrogen levels as I’m very young.. thanks for your reply
Your welcome.. I started with my anxiety at 18 with the Doom and what if’s. So I would seek out a therapist ASAP to get a handle on it now with some coping skills. Best wishes John
I think it’s just what it is anxiety. But get checked out by you Gp for your estrogen levels. As well as a thyroid check up.
I started at age 16 when my boyfriend passed. And I start counseling tomorrow morning! Thankyou. I hope things get better for you. Thyroid all good had that and blood work done a few months ago. But I guess I shall see about estrogen levels!
Very sorry to hear about your boyfriend. I’m happy to hear you have a meeting with a counselor tomorrow. How old are you now ?
I have felt like this before and it's such a scary feeling. I have tried so hard to take that out my head although it sneaks in sometimes.
It’s horrifying.. i just can’t seem to get it to go away!
I know it is. I don't know how I did it to be honest. I just brush it off and concentrate on something else.
I have been dealing with it for 2 years straight. I’m here for you!
Yup, I have. In fact, I’m feeling it now. Everything has a risk to it, but if we try to avoid every risk possible, then you wouldn’t even be able to walk, or stand up. You wouldn’t even be able to breathe for fear of choking on the air (although that does take some skill). So my point is, although it may feel like the world is going to end, you just have to tell yourself that it’s not. Yes, it might be, but it’ll do you absolutely no good to keep dwelling on it, and it’s highly unlikely anyways.
Is there someone you can talk to about how you’re feeling, like a doctor, GP, friend, relative, support worker? Perhaps your estrogen levels are skewed, or maybe it’s just something that you need counselling for.
The very best of wishes,
