Hi im so happy to have found this page and people to talk to about what im going through at the moment.
It all started last year.. i came back from ny holiday and i felt like i had stepped off a boat so off balance, it really worried me i went to my gp who then said maybe it could be vertigo causing my symptoms and gave me dizzy tablets ive forgot the name of them. However they didnt work at all i still continued to feel these off balance feelings. I was then reffered to an ENT specialist who done all the correct checks on my inner ear and and mri scan was performed which all came back NORMAL! But a year later im still off balance. Ive been back and forwards to my GP who i think thinks im insane (i do feel insane, like im loosing my mind.) However the past 2 months things have esculated i now suffer from weakness in my arms and legs and TINGLING, PINS AND NEEDLES sensations in my legs which adds more worry to the off balance feelings im suffering from, i sometimes feel lik my vision goes blurry and i feel tired quite a lot! My gp deffo thinks im suffering from anxiety but over the years i never believe my gp which in turn has got me to the point im at now, constantly thinking the worst.. ive googled my symptoms and ms comes up, brain tumers you name it! Im exhausted and want to stop over thinking but these sensations im getting are making it impossible for me to switch off. I try so hard but it doesnt work. I can get a good half hour then go and collect my son from the school yard where everything seems to esculate .. feeling off balance in a school yard is no fun what so ever. Is anyone else sufferring like me or am i completly diluded.

I too experience something similar. Except I feel weak/discomfort and numbness on the left arm and rib area and sometimes numbness on my back.
I've been to the cardiologist so many times and they've cleared me of having anything. I've done countless test and nothing. I've done my best to accept that it's the result of the anxiety.
You just need to make sure you're cleared by your practitioner of all possibilities.
The mind is powerful and anxiety is very real. Not only are we vulnerable to thoughts but we are vulnerable to the physical symptoms that go along with it. It isn't easy living through a day thinking that there may be something wrong with you.
I get numbness in my rib area and on my back at the same level. Your the only other person I have come across that has the same.. Mine has been going on for almost 2 years now.
For me it's been almost three years. Weird isn't it? How these physical symptoms appear and go hand in hand with anxiety. My guess is it's a response from the constant stress we experience.
The cardiologist recommended I see a neurologist. Said maybe it could be a pinched nerve. Honestly i can't continue to run to every type of specialist out there. Too expensive and I'll just drive myself nuts.
The sensations come and go. I don't know what to make of it except that it's my bodies reaction to the anxiety and stress.
Yea anxiety does manifest some crazy weird symptoms but my numbness is due to one of my ribs flipping and interfering with a nerve. It gets aggervating and is present more then it isn't but if my rib flips back to normal I get a brief break until it flips again.
I have felt this everyday for the last 6 months.you aren't going mad, it's hell.
I too have been told by 4 doctors it's all anxiety and it's also because it's become a habit for me and it's all I think about blah blah blah.but they don't have to live it everyday.
I'm now at a point where I can't even get my daughter from school.i get horrible sensations and my head feels like Its swimming and surges and just feels awful.just know you aren't alone.
Have you considered tension? I've noticed that if I work at the computer a lot on a given day and then sleep awkwardly on my side the next day I feel exactly as you describe. I can feel stiffness in my neck and mid-back before and during the symptoms, but it's not even what I'd call "pain". It's barely noticeable.
if it is any consolation, the "bad stuff" gets found pretty quickly, and the doctors usually set a plan for healing.
So the chances that you have ms or something is slim to none based on what we have read here on all of the years of back posts.
IF by any chance you are younger than 24 years old, May I suggest that you turn off your smart phone for 4 hours every DAY and you do NOT google anything at all about any of your symptoms. Turn your phone and computer OFF every night and do not sleep near either one of them.
Establish a person to person relationship with one of your doctors and or get a local therapist to talk to at least 1x per week for 6 weeks and then let us know how you are progressing.
