When I look down at the ground (especially if it’s textured) for a while I notice that it starts to move. Like it looks almost shimmering or wavy. My anxiety is telling me that it’s one of the worst possible things. But my friend is telling me it’s just my anxiety. Because when I look at a bright white surface or the blue sky I see the shimmery vision and sparkles everywhere.
Does anyone else get this? Or is this something like...psychologically wrong with me?

Plush, whatever it is, many of us have had a variation of this one way or another.
May as well accept what is happening.
For so many of us, we don't know what comes first. Did something make your Adrenalin flow and then you got the vision stuff, or did the visions stuff happen and then your adrenalin dropped?
I have had versions of this on and off for years.
Yessss patterned carpets look like a glittery ocean to me
Nice to see you on line. Hope you are doing well. xx
Hiiii it’s visual snow! I have it! It’s normal.
Do you have history of migraines? My fam does. People who do have a higher chance of having visual snow. For me it’s 24/7 but it’s more noticeable when stressed. It’s a weird phenomenon that docs don’t know a lot about but I asked my neurologist and ophthalmologist and they said it’s normal
I have a lot of migraines but they’re ocular and not always painful. So I’ll get like a little vision blind spot fuzzy thing in my left eye that sometimes grows bigger and can only be seen if I blink (I found out the name at some point can’t remember it now tho cause Latin) and from what I can tell it’s ocular migraine because the I sometimes get pain behind my eye and on the same side of my head. It sucks. But sometimes I get pain sometimes I don’t. And my vision already sucks so I have visual snow from that too (yay for being near sighted)
I feel you! Those auras can be so friggen annoying. I started getting migraines as a teen - they’re genetic but also hormonal. They mostly went away as I entered my 20s, and now I get them just during PMS. I have a friend who got part of her ear pierced (I forget what part but it’s cartilage) and it helps with migraines. My advice for migraines is to stay hydrated, eat protein in the AM (it helps me, anyway.. the thinkthin bars are good. I find sugar triggers mine), sleep. Do progressive relaxation training. Migraines are a bitch!!
Also my bf got my these cool glasses that get rid of the blue light from fluorescents. Those lights trigger migraines for me and anxiety!
Yes I have the same exact vision issue. and textured is a great way to put it, carpet, house siding, grass sometimes, etc. and when I look at the sky which ive done to analyze this vision issue I see the sparkles. its non stop 24/7 the vision thing. i cant describe it to anyone. i did get my eyes checked and everything is ok like i predicted. ughh I hate not getting answers. its been like this for almost a year and i cant get rid of it. its bothers me more than my anxiety does, i get headaches or eye aches too if i leave the house and focus on my eye issue. just makes for bad days.
