Help please

I have successfully dropped lorazepam from 4mg to 2mg but I am struggling to go down further but doctor is being pushy. But when I get anxious I get obsessional and this is what is happening. Also had extra problems in family recently and my poor 80 year old husband is having to carry me a bit and I am 70. Have a doctors appointment this morning and very nervous. Also having additonal physical problems.

Dear Gilly, All of the Dr.s, across the U.S. are trying to cut us back on the benzos we've been taking. I'm trying to cut back myself, as I have been on lorazepam since the mid 80's. We all had our reasons for starting to take the meds., and if that reason has not gone away, the doctors don't care. My nurse told me that a psychiatrist may be able to give us a higher dose, but have not tried that yet. I don't have good advice. Maybe we should all move to Colorado. God bless you, AnnRay
