I just wonder if I could ask does anyone else suffer with panic attack that actually give you chest symptoms
In June I had a very odd event that woke me with a jolt and left me with tightness and fear but as I work at a hospital I took myself to the cardiologist who did ecg bloods chest X-ray all perfect my GP said it was stress related .... but here’s my problem I have it again but now it’s got me running scared my neck aches and upper back plus chest and I just feel like adrenaline is racing through me.... does anyone else have this, I feel I cannot control the intrusive thoughts that come along with it ..... thank you

Sweepy, I have it going on right now. Been the last few days. Mid back pain, jaw pain, pressure in the chest. I caved and took Inderal and Xanax just now.
When you work in a hospital ( like I did for years ) you get enough knowledge to freak yourself out, but not enough to get you over the hump of intrusive thoughts.
This forum is keen on accepting how you are feeling.
So instead of playing the WHAT IF game, how about we play the SO WHAT game?
That is what I am doing tonight. IT is not making the chest tightness go away yet but the emotionally backed thoughts do not have the adrenaline dropping so at this moment I am not freaking out. The Inderal and xanax will kick in shortly and relieve the chest tightness etc.............FOR me it is a win, because I am not freaking out AND having the symptoms.
Does that make sense. I am accepting the symptoms.
That is a break through for me, as I am just "sitting" with the physical and not jacking myself up with the emotional.
