So i know no one can diagnose or anything like that. Just looking for others who may have experienced similar things.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been getting dizzy spells and just feeling off. Everything it happens and I’m at home i check my blood pressure and heart rate which on average seems to be around 106/69 and hr of 65 when the weird speeds happens. Anytime anything odd happens i think it’s my heart which has been checked out very well over the past year.

I’ve been worrying over money and financial issues so I’m hoping it’s just stress.

Anyone experience something like this or similar

Hi Aliciar,

What an awful way to be feeling! Thankfully, I am not experiencing dizziness at the moment, but in the past it has been chronic. I did have a completely non-serious problem with my ear which I think at times probably contributed to my dizziness. But over the years I have suffered from boughts of dizziness/lightheadedness and other similar symptoms, particularly at times when I have been experiencing high anxiety/stress.

I am in no way medically trained, but in my experience, I think it is unlikely to be a problem with your heart. Anxiety is clever, my fear with dizziness was never about my heart but about a different problem which I had an extreme fear of, you have a fear of heart problems and so your anxiety is attaching this dizziness to that fear. In all of my dizziness, I never once considered I had a problem with my heart. In reality, it is more likely your dizziness is caused by anxiety or else something minor and easily treated.

Dizziness is really unpleasant to experience though, even worse when you are worrying about the cause, so do see a doctor if you feel you can.

Eleanor.

Hi, yes I feel exactly the same. The dizzy floating feeling is my main symptom and I constantly fear it's my heart. I've had 12 ecgs in a year and this has been on going. Doctors try to reassure me that it is my anxiety and it is a common physical symptom. But it's so horrible for us to have to live with it all the time.

It really is.is yours all day?my doctor is the same.and she said the more we think about it the worst it gets!I honestly think it becomes a habit that's so hard to break x

I can relate mine just comes in waves out of the blue. Thankfully it’s nkt all day. So sorry that yours is. Hopefully it will pass for all of us soon. I’m just trying my best to ignore it and continue on with my day. Hoping that will eventually make me relax and the dizziness will go away

I don’t know if it’s the same as what you are describing. In the past, I have experienced sensations where it feels like everything is happening around me and I am not actually a part of it. It’s a perculiar sensation and hard to describe but I think it could be similar to what you are describing. I assume it is a part of anxiety/panicking but I can’t say for certain.

in reply toEleanorRose

Sounds similar..but along those lines ..it drives me mad.. I'm just not part of it, I'm alert its happening and I try to connect and get myself together..dunno but its an awful feeling if dizziness ..like I'm losing my mind..scares me

I can only agree, I find most weird sensations to do with the body concerning but what I have learnt from talking to others and being part of these forums is the vast numbers of people who also experience similar things, which I find somewhat comforting.

Please tell me which meds your taking. Also, how long your using them and when dizziness started. I often question If we are experiencing far more side effects from medication, such as antidepressants or anti seizure med or pain meds. It’s mind boggling when you discover that these meds we are taking have had no more than 6-8 weeks of drug studies. There are no long term effects studies. We are basically little general public test subjects. We all know who is benefiting from most of these drugs. Psychiatrists will make a killing from drug companies more than any other medical field by dispensing all their drugs. Most of the time it isn’t the patients. Cause clearly they don’t help with my pain or anxiety or depression. All I feel is fat tired and lazy and foggy. I highly recommend that you start paying close attention to what your mind and body is telling you. Keep a journal, and be vigilant about the effects your feeling.

I’ve taking 50 mg of Zoloft. I’ve been taking it for 6 months. I know dizziness is a side effect but i think he’s gonna change me bc it’s making me gain weight and I’ve trying very hard to lose it. But i can’t take most ssri’s bc im so sensitive

I’ve been experiencing light-headedness and was thinking it was my heart not sending enough oxygen to my brain for the last few weeks. I’m surprised/ relieved, in a way, that I’m not alone. I wasn’t sure if this could be a symptom of anxiety.

I've had the lightheaded/dizzy/off balance/heavy head feeling for two years straight with no relief. I also think it's because I don't get enough oxygen or something, but the doctors have used that finger device to track my oxygen levels and they are always normal even during extreme panic. I have found NO relief from these sensations. The only one thing we all have in common is anxiety....
