Does anyone else have there anxiety play up when the summer holidays r here ? It happens every year! I look forward to the 6 weeks coming up and doing things with the kids but every year at some point normally at the beginning it starts up ! I think maybe it's because I'm out of routine! It calms down but just annoys me really ! Just wanted to see if anyone else gets this ? X

I don’t have any children but my niece and nephew come to visit with their parents etc and because I’m out of routine that sparks up my anxiety abit more than usual that’s for sure ! X

Or you pressure yourself into being this super mum. Also the fact you don't have time to yourself.

People with anxiety disorder don't like deviations from their normal routines so when suddenly we have to keep children entertained and occupied every day for 6 weeks we begin to wobble. Best just to accept the anxiety for the moment, do what you've planned and take it a day at a time.

Me I get very anxious in holidays. Even though I’m worn out and desperate for a rest ... don’t no why it happens !

Thanks for the reply everyone 😁 gggg123 and jeff1943 your both right ! It only happens the 6 weeks holiday I suppose as it's the longest one and I'm out of routine for so long it sets it off !

I get either anxiety or/and depression around july/august time each year too. Actually I agree routine is good for us with anxiety but it's good for all humans too. Or if I have too much booked out in my calendar and if I'm invited to lots of things around xmas I can get affected. When I was a young adult I was fine but since about 2006 it's been a trying time learning how to take better care of myself but I still suffer despite all I try to do at times. My episodes are less often and less severe now. Long may it last x defo take one day at a time and live in the moment.
