First step is to buy the DARE book by Barry McDonagh and Self Help for Your Nerves or the one on agoraphobia by Dr Claire Weekes Their advice is amazing and no matter how ill you feel you will get better

Like you I tried everything and nothing worked I was full of hope everytime only to feel even more low and thinking that I'd never get better

If you follow the DARE response read and read it take baby steps and build up I promise you will get well

They are both on Amazon and not a lot of money

Good luck 😊

I have the same problem and I've had it for 35 years now. I'm 60 this year. My problem was to hide it and keep working. I never really tried to find solutions to live with it but every three years or so I'd crash and would have to take a break. I have been on the sick for a year now and have accepted my condition and am getting proper psychology help. I accept me for who I am now and people can take or leave me as I am what I am. Good luck. Ray

Well I’m glad you can accept your condition but I can’t except I’m going to just sit on my couch from anxiety my whole life

It's an old saying, but, where there's life, there's hope. You say that nothing works. Presumably you have seen your GP, you are taking medication, you are having counselling, you are regularly exercising, you are using getselfhelp.co.uk, you have Googled "Support for people with mental health problems in my area", you meet fellow sufferers at a drop-in centre, you are involved in art therapy or music therapy or creative writing classes, and you are inclose touch with you family and friends. Maybe, as a last resort, you will just have to tell God how you feel and ask him to help, by finding, if there is one, a church which is loving and caring. I will pray for you.

Yes rich12123, there is hope and it's called "HOPE and help for your nerves" by Doctor Claire Weekes available new or used for a few dollars from Amazon. No, not just another self-help book.

There is hope, of course there is. Here's the kicker though. There isn't any secret answer anyone can provide you. There isn't one book, or one pill or one exercise or one anything that is going to solve it.

Your life needs some changes. Only you can make those changes. Only you know what you really need and/or want. But it's up to you to make them.

No one can make you happy but you. No one can give you freedom but you.

So take it.

Thanks but that’s the problem I’ve tried everything I can but nothing helps alleviate the anxiety and sickness I feel everyday

You can be stuck in the anxiety loop which feeds itself for what may seem forever. That is until something breaks the cycle.

I'm sorry I can't give you the magic answer for how to stop the cycle.

Find peace in the fact that it can be broken though. It can end. You just have to find out how to end the cycle for yourself and find peace. You can do it!
