So i always get palpitations but i was just sitting down and for about 1 minute my heart was completely our of its normal rhythm this has obviously made me very anxious incase it happens again! Is this dangerous ??
Out of rhythm heart beat: So i always get... - Anxiety Support
Out of rhythm heart beat
I get this too - it’s hard not to worry but you’re definitely not alone x
Hi.. I get this too and I was under investigation at the hospital.. I had several tests like, heart scans, thyroid scans and I had to wear ESG monitors etc.. after all those tests it came down to anxiety.. so i doubt it’s something serious but I think you should do what I did and tell your GP!
Ive been gp so many times and had loads of tests everyone says anxiety
If your really worried about it then you could ask your GP about a beta blocker, it basically helps keep your heart at a steady rhythm. I find that trying breathing techniques also help keep my heart rate steady without palpitations. Do you feel your heart getting fast while resting?
Believe me it's anxiety Hollie, and you are telling your mind to focus more on you heartbeat. And what will happen ? It will continue. Practise deep breathing from your nose to calm down. Also it helps to relax your heart.
When you say out of rythm...was it steady but faster or was it like fast then slow then fast erratically?
I'd tell you not to worry but from personal experience you will anyway. I've been having PVCs (interruptions of heart rhythm) since before Christmas and had ecg's, bloods, 48hr monitors and my heart is apparently absolutely fine. Worried like hell for 3 months and started to clean up diet and fitness and they are dissappearing. Stress and anxiety definately played their part. Still go and get them checked out. Especially if the Palps come with dizziness. What doc told me is nearly always harmless. If it happens while exercising then needs checking out for sure.
Hey hon I’m new on here and have the same too. I’m sure it’s nothing, Ive been checked and have a benign heart arythmia but have been told that as we are so heightened to our body’s sensations, much more than most we feel every little odd sensation or tingle. Keep a check but I’m sure you are totally fine.
💗💗
I have the PVC every other beat normal skipped normal skipped. I am with a cardiologist I just see him annually for an echo to keep an eye on my heart muscle. It’s always stress and anxiety he tells me and with no symptoms absolutely nothing to worry about x having said that it is so annoying when I’m in the cinemas I can hear my heart! When I’m at the salon o can feel the beats when I’m relaxing I can hear the boom boom! I so wish I can not be aware of my heart beats but I guess this is how I’m designed.
I wish I had the money for all the cardiologists I’ve seen over the years because of this ! I even went to an expert at the University of Miami LOL
It’s adrenaline surging through your system at intervals that’s why it skips Because the heart is always trying to maintain a normal rhythm - scary as hell but not dangerous ! Easy on caffeine no energy drinks and more water
In the more you focus on it the more you both feel it
trust me from cardiac neurotic I’ve been through it all 🤪
