I’ve had such a good day. No panic attacks (some shortness of breath but I came out of it) yet I’m still so scared for bedtime. I’m scared that I’ll have a bad night with panic attacks or crazy symptoms

Hey ctate96 is there a funny tv show you could put on as you fall asleep? Or maybe a good book? Try and do something positive associated with bedtime to get away from that negative association.
I can totally relate. My anxiety gets really bad at night. It sucks because even when I have a great day, at night is not the same. I also feel shortness of breath and heart palpitations. I usually try to sit up as laying down gives me the impression that I can’t breath . I watch tv shows or start checking social media or even recipes. Anything to get my mind off. Sometimes it takes a little while to fall asleep. I wish I could provide you with an easy fix. ((Hugs)$
I use apps that play rain or storm sounds. Or have a fan running. Really help. Also lavender essential oil. I use it in a humidifier/diffuser. To me it is a comforting smell that helps relax me. You can even spray it on your pillow. Something about taking deep breaths of it is relaxing. Much more than just normal deep breathing.
