hi yes I lost nearly 5 stone in weight due to depression and anxiety on my legs arms upper body pretty much everywhere except my tummy.
I wish. I was told that when you have anxiety or are in the fight/flight mode, your body is prepping for an extreme situation and your stomach shuts down to conserve energy. The other thing, for me, is that with anxiety, my throat feels tight and my stomach feels like it’s in a knot so I don’t want to eat. Nervous energy...pacing, sitting, standing, etc., all signs of agitation would burn more calories.
Hope this helps.... I really do. I didn’t mean to make light of the weight issue but it’s one i’m dealing with because of anti-depression meds.

Yes. I had lost a rapid amount of weight last year when my anxiety was at its worse. Since then my dr found the right medicine for me (10mg prozac and a beta blocker) needless to say its all back. Hang in there it does get better
Yes. I went from 242 lbs to 216 in 3-4 months. I was only eating once per day and hardly sleeping due to panic. Stomach aches so bad that even water hurt my stomach so naturally I would put off eating. One day I stepped on my digital scale and was in shock how much I lost. It triggered my health anxiety even more. It took some weeks but I started eating a banana every morning and small meals until I trusted food again. I'm now back up to 228 lbs. Right where I should be since I'm 6'5" tall. I love food again and no stomach pain. I did have an endoscopy this summer which cleared me of any issues to worry about with my stomach. If you're losing weight it's probably because you're not taking in enough calories. Don't forget you can get some calories with a smoothie or protein shake. It won't upset your stomach as bad as some foods. Best wishes!
Absolutely! When I’m anxious, I can’t eat. And even if I eat, it’s only small amounts. Since my anxiety got better my weight is back to normal. So, please don’t add extra anxiety by worrying about your weight.
