I have this weird sensation that feels like I am riding in a car, can anxiety cause this? Even when I am perfectly still I feel this, I'm really scared.

Feel like I'm moving in a car
carrieblevins1998, your over sensitized nervous system due to anxiety can cause that feeling as well as other sensations. The more we focus into the feeling, the longer it stays with us. Find a quiet spot and get yourself comfortable. Sitting in a chair with a small pillow behind your back and a light blanket across your lap can relax you. Lower the lights or close the blinds. Start your deep breathing, letting out all the anxious thoughts as you exhale. I find that listening to an audio video on YouTube is beneficial in allowing you to be guided through a meditation to quiet and calm the mind. 5-20 minute videos can be enough to reverse that sensation. The feelings are coming from your mind. Once your mind is quiet, the sensation should go away.

Someone else who gets this , I thought I was crazy. But yes I get that way too. Just as agora said an oversensitized nervous system from anxiety can make you feel all different ways. I know personally I have days where I feel like I'm detached from my body, like there's no connection between my mind and body. The best advice I could give you is to stay occupied, keep busy and distracted. I see a psychologist, and I'm on medicine as well, and it does make a difference. Everyday is something else but I see it as a learning opportunity. My whole problem right now is learning to trust my body, for instance I'll get these moods where my chest muscles tighten and right away, I think ok I'm gonna stop breathing what do I do , or I'm gonna just collapse and fall over dead etc. I think the whole thing is anxiety makes you afraid of everything sometimes in a sense . But baby steps. It'll all be ok
