Help, I'm freaking out

Okay so a month ago my dad died from a sudden heart attack. I went to the doctor for the first time in years to have bloodwork done yesterday. This morning they left me a voicemail to call them back about my lab results. My mind is going berserk. I'm convinced I have diabetes and high cholesterol and underactive thyroid and basically everything my parents had/have. I had to leave a message when I called back and I'm having a horrible time trying to concentrate at work. Someone help me out please, how do I get through this?

Hello there I am a newbie here I just joined a few days ago but have come across your message having a scroll. I am so very sorry to read that you lost your father recently that’s such a hard punch to take from life. I don’t have words to console you like I’d wish to be able to but I am so very sure he would be proud of how you are managing to get through each day one step at a time. I lost my fiancé in a bad accident seven years ago in an accident we were both involved in, and although not a parent, he was as close to me as he could ever have been, and it was sudden too tight on top of me flown of our motorbike. It must’ve so hard for you right now to deal with all that is going on and I course panic could

Easily set in worrying that you may have some of the issues you’ve listed I would say this is only natural. The good thing is that you’ve had some tests done. And I am sure you will be okay. If there are some problems then you are going to be able to deal with them with the right support from both medics and from those close to you I’m sure. Try not to focus on the what ifs here. The positive and main thing is that you’ve been for the tests. That is such a good step. You can get through anything you will be so much stronger than you think. Perhaps the doctors wanted you to call back so quickly to put your mind at ease because they know what a hard time you are going through right now having just lost a parent! If you haven’t yet spoken with them why don’t you call them with a friend, that way you have support and they can help you take in whatever they have to say. You can do this x
