Can anybody help me out and tell me if these are anxiety symptoms and if you have them? I know some of them are, but there’s some im uncertain about.
- Racing heart and palpitations all the time
- Achey muscles
- Tiredness all the time
- Periods of nausea
- Pins and needles
- Poor circulation in feet and hands, and are constantly cold.
- Chest pain
The other night i have some weird body tremor i think, my legs and arms began shaking uncontrollably just as i was about to sleep. It wasn’t painful, but it was like my whole body was shivering and just wouldn’t stop. I wasn’t cold or hot, so it wasn’t temperature related.

Hi just like to say propanol doesn't agree with people with asthma,I had it for palpitations but had to come of it as it brought out my asthma after a few days.but I was then given Bisoprolol which is much better for anyone who has asthma.I've been on Bisoprolol for 7 years and it really keeps palpitations at bay.I also take diazepam 2 mg as and when needed for anxiety.I usually try to take just half tablet if I'm really anxious and that calms me down.some times we need to take medication to help settle the anxiety when you are having really bad symptoms.
That was helpful, thank you! I don’t have asthma, but I’ll keep it mind. I was only thinking of taking medication to ease symptoms and not an everyday thing
Hi I think it best you go see your doctor write down how you are feeling and any questions you would like to ask.don't be afraid to ask for medication to help you to calm or better still get rid of the symptoms you are experiencing.tell the doctor you just need a short course to help you ,let me know how you get on.but don't despair anxiety does get better.
Would i need to show them what i wrote down? Seems weird but im overthinking it all, as i dont want to look weird by reading the symptoms im having from a piece of paper in front of them
I just gave my piece of paper over to the doctor.I walked in and said I need your help Dr I am not coping well my anxiety is ruining my life.he looked at the paper ( I listed all my symptoms) he said he would refer me for CBT and also gave me diazepam he offered me antidepressants to.but I refused to take them.I told him I don't get depressed I get anxious.
Oh yes diazepam calms me right down and I feel totally calm and relaxed after taking a 2 mg .when my anxiety was really bad I was taking diazepam daily for quite a few weeks and was feeling great eating well sleeping well and my life was back to normal.felt great so I stopped taking the diazepam.and around week or so later started to get very anxious.returned to the doctor.he told me because I had taken for several weeks that I need to stop them over 3 weeks first week one morning and bedtime 2 nd week half tablet morning and bedtime 3 rd week half tablet at bedtime ! So follow doctor instructions.I now take half to one tablet when required.sometimes I go a few weeks without needing to take.but if I have a upset or anxiety really bad I take half to one tablet for a few days to calm my anxiety down.I do not abuse them and the doctor knows I only take if I really need to so I have them on a regular prescription.as the doctor sees that I take them resposablely.
Diazepam is a wonderful drug if used responsibly as it calms the mind and body when anxiety is severe.my anxiety score was very high and through CBT therapy and diazepam my anxiety score came right down to normal levels.and I can enjoy my life and go to work ,can enjoy going to work ,going out with friends.I even went on 2 week holiday to Spain last year, and I don't like flying.but it didn't worry me and had a great holiday.I am now enjoying my life and you will to once you manage your anxiety the right way and with your doctors help.
Do you get side effects from the diazepam? I really am considering going on medication i want my life back. My anxiety started 6 month ago, i have had two major panic attacks but i get bad symptoms everyday. That im worried about going out on my own and i hate relying on my partner!x
Oh thats great, i am glad it has helped you so much! I think taking them when you only need to is a great idea. Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it
I think this happens to most of us that suffer with Anxiety. It used to take me ages to get to sleep but i have started listening to wilderness music and panpipes music and i find it really helps me.
These could be anxiety symptoms but extrimities pins and needling and chest pain makes me thiink u should be examined by a gp first. At least ur vital signs and capillary feeling and heart sounds sould be controlled by a dr.
I have about all im not to sure about the pins and needles part but yes they are so weird its a everyday thing you got to not let yourself go to extreme in your head it just makes things worse just say i have these feeling and they are uncomfortable but they can hurt me and try to move on with your day i know its easier said and done because i to struggle with that. I totally get you the crap just sucks but we can beat it..
It all sucks and when you think you’re feeling better it all gets worse again. But my doctor has given me medication to help ease the symptoms so everyday life isn’t so tough
Thats true i wish i had a good doctor because everyone i have thinks its all in my head... They always say stay busy do this do that and im like if i could i would thats why im here. I currently dont have a doctor the last one i just seen wanted me to change me from one pill and wanted to put me on 3 different pills so i was out of there and didnt change. Thats all they do they say nothing really just take this and ill see you in a month im not all about that..
In my experience anxiety comes in many forms, therefore you may experience countless of symptoms. Which is counterintuitive since, for me, it gives me some kind of peace knowing that instead of having a serous illness I know that it is my anxiety playing tricks.
Hope everything is well with you and please take steps towards combating anxiety. My life has changed since I am in treatment.
I suffer from health anxiety, the past two days my hands and feet feel like I have bad circulation to them, even painful feeling. I go away tomorrow for the weekend and now I’m so worried my weekend away is all ready ruined. I’m trying to tell myself it’s anxiety but is it ?
My doctor told me all these symptoms were anxiety. And anxiety does cause bas circulation and cold hands and feet. I’d suggest trying to stay calm and positive and look forward to where ever you are going! If it won’t go away after a few days then visit a doctor
Just to let you know I’ve been feeling a lot better lately. Had a really nice weekend away. I just know it’s my mind playing tricks on me. Talking and getting replies on here, really help me xx
