Nerves!!
Any now my arms and shpulders are just aching so bad!!
Definitely a pinched nerve anywhere in the body can present with referred pain in different areas.
It's not coming from the heart. The chest wall muscles can get extremely tight causing nerve like soreness down both sides of the chest. Physical therapy should be able to work it out for you in relaxing the muscles as well as relieving the spasms and trigger points. The pain may be coming from the pinched nerves but the root of the problem is Anxiety. So you are correct. Do some calming relaxation methods, heat and deep breathing. Using the expertise of the physical therapist will lessen your worry. Feel better. I've been there as well. xx
Hi Denny,
How are you feeling now? I'm going through the exact symptoms lately. It started in December with two sever panic attacks. From then on I would get random anxiety and started feeling tingling in my left forearm all the way to my left middle finger. My left shoulder had a slight pain in the front part as well. I get sharp jolts to what feels like the heart, shortness of breath and increased heart beat. My upper back is sore and weak and my ribs are sore. Like you, I did all the important test with cardiologist. Artery check, ecg, ekg, blood pressure and more. Checked out great! One thing I did discover is I have a condition called Costochondritis. It's when the rib joints are inflamed and cause shortness of breath and if you push on those they're tender. Basically, your ribs in the back are working double time trying to keep your front sternum and ribs in correct place and feels like a pulling pain or someone sitting on your chest. Another discovery of mine is that being on edge and anxiety causes your muscles to be tense all the time, even if you feel calm. I have pain in my jaw from clenching and get some minor shakes in hands. This may be what you're going through or not. Best of luck healing.
I do hair for a living so my shoulders and back are always killing me! I hold all my stress in my neck and shoulders. I have had a pinched nerve in my shoulder and it caused my whole arm to go numb my fingers to tingle and it scared the Daylight out of me. I spent so many years thinking it was heart-related and that I would have a heart attack at any time even though I had my heart checked a million times. With doing some simple stretching and getting a deep tissue massage every once in awhile I get some relief. I started and C.B.T. therapy about a year ago And holy moly it's change my life. I'm not going to say that I don't ever think it's heart-related but I don't go through everyday thinking I'm going to have a heart attack. Best wishes!
