I've started having chest pain, shortness of breath and pins and needles in my arm. Cardiologist have said the chest pain is caused by the pinched nerve in my neck and the pins and needles are neurological. anxiety causes me to panic a lot. have to wear a heart monitor for 2 weeks soon. the medical specialists like physio, gp, cardiologist are having trouble with separating what is caused by anxiety too. I feel very light headed and dizzy all the time and have anxiety problems going into shops and avoid crowds. sometimes I feel there are too many symptoms going at the same time to cope with. does anyone know what is like to sleep wearing a heart monitor?

Hard to tell which symptoms are real and which caused by anxiety.
I don't know about the heart monitor but I can sympathize with not knowing what symptoms are real or anxieties. See my earlier post on HELP! Wierd parasthesia sensations in limbs when trying to sleep.
Mines have truly manifested and has affected my sleep. And it's all because I still don't have a clear diagnosis.
Today, is my first day without a heart monitor since May. I actually found comfort in wearing the monitor because I knew someone was watching my heart and if anything major came up they would call me.
My brother wore a heart monitor for months. Never seemed to bother him much or slow him down. Anxiety is a hell of a thing. It can create and mimic so many symptoms in our body that it just creates havoc.
I wish you all the best. Try to keep your head up.
I had heart arrhythmia problems (AFIB) and then about a year after that, I got PANIC ATTACKS!!
That was a very very difficult time for me .
I only wore a monitor (holter) for a 24 hour period, it was not that bad, but ok, it was only for a day.
Just think how the results of the monitor will help the doctors, and that can pull you through.

The dr's were able to help me, but I also pray daily.
I see my heart-thing as a blessing, it helps me value life much more!
thanks for your replies. I ended up being allergic to the sticky pads used for the heart monitor. gp phoned me to say results had shown signs of stress and nothing to worry about for now but to be wary as my mom has a heart condition.
