Diviticulitus !!

I know this isn’t just anxiety related , but does anyone else suffer from this ?

I have not had an attack for about 3 years . The pain is horrific. Started get belly aches early last week then Thursday the pain went to left side and still there . Prob Drs tomoz as it’s bad .

My dad had that. He was hospitalised as he became very dehydrated as well. The cure is u need to get more fibre in your diet.

sometimes mine will last for a week then go away by itself. fiber is the answer always on left side

My mom gets those attacks when she's not eating enough fiber or taking her probiotics. I hope you feel better soon

I have diverticulosis. It’s the same thing without the infection. Diverticulitis is when stuff gets caught in those diverticulosis pockets and gets infected. Usually at that time you will need an antibiotic at least if not hospitalization. It definitely causes severe pain. I was recommended miralax each day. It’s not a stimulant it just keeps the water in your intestines so things move as they should. Drink lots of water and take fiber at least.

Thanx everyone . I get my flare ups from seeds ie cherry tomatoes , strawberries etc . I have been eating cherry tomatoes , let my guard down . Have had the worst night with the pain . Making a Drs appt this morning .

Went to the Drs and have an infection with the diviticulitus. Put onto 2 lots of antibiotics . Hope to start to feel better soon
