Below is a record of all medical "professionals" that I've seen since the beginning of my health problem with dates and care summary. I have also attached my full health record and my health summary.

(Urgent Care NEMG-NL: 06/14/17)

I consulted Northeast Medical Group Walk-in Care New London because of my issue. I feel I was misdiagnosed me with a stomach virus and ordered a UT of my abdomen which showed abnormalities of a swollen liver and a thick gallbladder. Her follow-up phone call suggested no further action and that the virus would run its course and she dismissed the abnormalities of the test as begnin "fatty liver".

(Primary care UCFS) (Overflow Primary Care)

07/18/2017; 08/01/2017; 08/03/2017; 08/09/2017; 08/11/2017; 09/06/2017; 09/21/2017; 9/29/2017

I began consulting the Dr at UCFS because of my issue. The Dr dismissed this condition as a begning "fatty liver". In return, I was subject to an unnecessary range of medical testing, unwarranted drug trails and prolong suffering. Ultimately, the office dismissed of my medical condition as anxiety. All medical issues were completely unresolved and the practice provided no further guidance for treatment by another physician.

(Coastal Digestive Diseases: r; 06/21/2017; 07/5/2017; 10/19/2017; 10/27/2017) I visited Coastal Digestive Diseases because of my issue. The UT results were dismissed as begning "fatty liver". Several tests and an endoscopy (07/05/2017) was performed with unrelated results for the symptoms I experienced. During the endoscopy the anesthesiologist administered general anesthesia incorrectly and caused me severe pain throughout my body. Later that day I ended up in the ER with a fever and asperational pneumonia.

(Urgent care Norwichtown: 09/05/2017)

I consulted Norwichtown Backus Family Health Center because of my issue. I spoke with Dr. on this issue; but, he did a few tests and left me unresolved. All medical issues were completely unresolved and the practice provided no further guidance for treatment by another physician.

(Emergency Backus Norwich: 07/05/2017)

Severe shaking and fever after endoscopy. After testing, the hospital incorrectly reported the X-ray results and unknowingly sent me home with pneumonia. The hospital called me the following morning and told that I have puenmonia from the endoscopy and that I had to get medication.

(Emergency Backus Norwich: 08/02/2017)

I visted the ER because of Chest pain beginning after Dr. perscribed protonics and another drug together. The ER cleared me of a heart attack and sent me home. All medical issues were completely unresolved and the practice provided no further guidance for treatment by another physician.

(Urgent care Montville Backus: 09/05/2017)

I visited This urgent care because of my issue. Dr first scrutinized my symptoms and became biligerant with me in the office about the course I've been on; then, ordered blood work and persrcibed me a "random" drug Prendisone. The medical issues were became severely agrivated upon the first dose and was told to stop taking the drug with no further plan of action.

Dr. (Consult for Primary Care: date unknown)

I consulted Ledyard Backus Family Health Center because of my issue. Dr. Greely dismissed my symptoms. I never saw him after my first visit. All medical issues were completely unresolved and the practice provided no further guidance for treatment by another physician.

(Primary care: 10/10/2017: 11/06/2017)

I began consulting this office because of my issue. Dr immediately dismissed these issues as health anxiety and referred me to behavioral health. Dr was extremely arrogant and condescending to me for every instance of communication. His practice refused further treatment or testing. All medical issues were completely unresolved and the practice provided no further guidance for treatment by another physician.

(Westerly GI referred by Dr. l: 10/30/17; 11/20/17; 12/06/17; 12/14/17; 01/08/17) I began consulting this office because of health related issues that I attempted to resolve. Several tests and a colonoscopy was performed with unrelated results for the symptoms I experienced. The practice refused further treatment or testing. All medical issues were completely unresolved and the practice provided no further guidance for treatment by another physician. I will also note that I have been very kind and patient with the entire staff of this office.

(Urgent Care NEMG-NL: 11/30/2017)

I consulted Northeast Medical Group Walk-in Care New London because of health related issues that I attempted to resolve. Dr dismissed my major symptoms and focused only on treating a minor issue with an eye sty.

(Endocrinologist : 12/07/2017; 12/15/2017)

I was referred to Dr.for medical issues I was having. The doctor did not pay any attention to my symptoms and ran me through a typical metabolic panel (blood test). These results came back clear and the commonly checked organs of his profession were functioning properly. He quickly dismissed me from his office after two visits with no plan of action or even a departure salutation. He did not provide any care to my issues or provide any plan of action or suggestion to resolve the issue. Dr. Carseli is very rude, abrupt and dismissive.

(Primary Care: 12/22/2017; 12/28/2017)

I visited Dr. because of health related issues that I attempted to resolve. Since I was working with other Dr at the time for the same issue he assisted me in ordering tests that she wanted done. Once Dr refused further diagnosis, he referred me to another Dr. .

(Referred by Dr. : 1/12/2018)

Provided counciling on my health issues and referred me to phsycologist Dr. Ferrero (appointment 1/24/2018). I have not returned since Dr. Ferrero determined that I had no record of health issues causing phsycological effects.

Dr. (Trama Surgeon: 1/18/2018: 1/30/2018)

I visited Dr. because of my issue. He listened to my symptoms and reviewed my testing record. He indicated that the very first test (UT abdominal) showed abnormalities in my Liver and my Gallbladder and asked if I had a HIDA scan performed since he immediately suspected cholecystitis. I didn't know what I HIDA scan was, I said no (it wasn't accomplished). Once the HIDA scan was complete, the suspicion was verified as chronic cholecystitis. Surgery scheduled 02/07/2018.

I'm so sorry Dave, it happens not that often with going to different doctors but you now have a diagnosis that can be addressed. I know you are upset and angry and this is why we have to be our own advocates. Pursuing the issues if they don't go away. Unfortunately, once diagnosed with anxiety it tends to be a catch all for what is going on with us. It took time but you being persistent in finding an answer proved to be the right thing to do.

Wishing you well with your surgery on the 7th. Talk to us meantime. You know we are all here for you and care.

I am so sorry you were misdiagnosed/not diagnosed sooner. It's so frustrating! Especially when you know something is off or not quite right. There is a reason for this timing and maybe in hindsight it will be more clear. Hang in there and feel better soon.

So pleased you finally got a diagnosis!

Thanks everyone. It's hard to believe it's taken over a dozen doctors and over 30 visists to the doctor to figure it out. But, the hardest part is the administration structure for doctors in NE keeping you at a slow roll when you need to be fixed right away. That, plus having doctors that dismiss you for anxiety is a big hindrance.

Your journey sounds all to familiar to me. I doctored for several years only to be told I needed counseling. My gallbladder finally plugged completely and I had emergency surgery. This was before they did the laparoscopic surgery. 2 weeks in the hospital 3 drains and a bag to drain the bile for six weeks later I felt better. 🙁

A bag to drain the bile? Did you have complications?

Dave, first let me congratulate you on your excellent documentation of your visits. Brave, and thorough! DID you get your HIDA scan in the Nuclear Medicine department?

I am so sorry that so many doctors were incompetent, lazy or just uninterested in getting to the bottom of a patients problem.

It is frustrating, expensive etc..........HOWEVER in just a few days, the little guy will come out. POST immediately when you wake from surgery. Peace

in reply to Indigojoe

I'll post asap after surgery. I won't truely know everything is clear until u get back to hard work. That's when I'd get all Shakey and dizzy.

Yes, nuclear medicine. We'll see how much that costs me.

Thanks for the reply
