I just want to start off and say 2018 is so far an improvement over last year and I've learned to be mindful already!
However, this month is not that great, particularly last week where I spent most time in the house because of the weather and as a result its giving me two very high triggers.
I just want to know that if its all just caused by January anxiety so I can put my mind ease. Thanks for reading

Hi January is well known to be the worst month of the year ! They call it the January blues why ? Because you have the build up to Christmas and parties, get together with family etc etc.then comes the downer ! Its a long month to wait for wages as you usually get paid before Xmas.then you got to wait 5 or 6 weeks before pay day.most people overspend at Xmas.then the old bank balance is looking bad.the credit card bill comes in.so yes that's why its called January blues. But on a good note you are starting a new year and have spring and summer to look forward to.
I was actually born on Dec 23. But when raising a stepson, he was fretting over how to buy presents for everyone. So I asked if it would help if my birthday was on a different day. He asked if we could actually do that? Told him why not. We looked through the calendar, and other than Valentine's Day, February only had Ground Hog Day. To a 10 year old that was just perfect. So my birthday for decades has been Feb 2. So in one way, my birthday is on Feb 2 as the day of last resort!
You know one of my cousins adopted a young boy from Sierra Leone, West Africa. The orphans don't own their birthdays so everyone is expected to be 1 year older on January 1st. When my cousin adopted him, he asked his new son what date he would like for his birthday to be. He picked September 21st (for whatever reason)
Oh yes definitely. Its also the worst month for depression. Especially because I am a gardener and plant lover, winter months are just so dreary and depressing. I absolutely despise winter.
