Is this good? I think it is but I’m not sure. Living with constant chest pain has forced me to get one of these..

Treated myself to this little machine...

I think it's always good to monitor your readings it can help you alot. I too get chest pains. Where do you feel the pains ?
From a quick on-line search: More than 120 over 80 and less than 140 over 90 (120/80-140/90): You have a normal blood pressure reading but it is a little higher than it should be.
More than 90 over 60 (90/60) and less than 120 over 80 (120/80): Your blood pressure reading is ideal and healthy.
Make sure you sit down comfortably for a bit with both feet not the ground and arms by your side when you do your measurement.
Thanks for this suggestion. I’ll look into it to see if it can provide the knowledge I need..
It's Purrfect....Not to worry.
That is a good BP. You must be doing good. Try not to take it too often. Taking it too many times in a row can give inaccurate results. Switch arms between taking. They are good to have in an emergency but when it causes you to obsess over it you will suffer from much worse anxiety.
That’s a great blood pressure!
Was 138/78 this morning :/
I agree with @Hopeful- Tinkerbell it’s okay to have it in case of an emergency but do not obsess over taking your blood pressure it’ll only worsen your anxiety. I did this in the past as well trust me you have to believe that you’re okay!
Those are good BP numbers. Remember the new standards are set by the pharma companies more then the doctors. It was years ago but I had a cardiologist tell me that, he also said that when you systolic bp is over the 100plus your age mark (40yo so 140) and diastolic is over 90 for a consecutive period (more then 48 hrs) then you need to look into things. Life changes in diet, exercise, food, meds etc. All this info came about when I went to urgent care because of a pa and throat closing up and my bp hit 160/100 they freaked out I was going to stroke, rush go to ER. Talk about blowing a major PA, just to find out it was a throat infection and anxiety. Bad part is that just reaffirmed an implanted fear of doctors.
TAKE IT BACK & GET YOUR MONEY BACK!
If not you will become obsessed with taking your blood pressure which will just lead to higher anxiety.
Your blood pressure reading is perfectly fine. But remember our blood pressure fluctuates at different times of the day. I really hope you don’t think I’m being rude, I honestly have your best interests at heart & I know that having this machine will DEFINITELY increase your anxiety. I will you all the best x
I would tend to agree! I used to monitor my BP far too often. This resulted in higher readings due to anxiety about the readings! Real panic attacks would follow. I decided to put my monitor away and stop worrying (easier said than done). Then one day I took it again and it was completely fine. Since then because I relaxed about it, it continued to be ok. Then 2 days ago, my BP was a little higher than normal due to stress, and so the vicious cycle began again. It’s been high for the last 2 days so I’ve put the monitor away again and I’m focusing on the cause of the stress and trying to reduce it which in turn, I know, will reduce my BP, but I won’t be checking it until I know I’m relaxed (which could take a while!).
I went thru a period where I felt like crap and wondered what was wrong. I was starting to monitor everything that was going on in my body including my blood pressure. I noticed that it was very low and started worrying about it being so low. I started getting mini panic attacks just checking my blood pressure. Before you know, my blood pressure was high just looking at it. If the doctor told you to get one, by all means follow his instruction, but I think it may become obsessive and lead to more anxiety.
