So anyone else here ever have a feeling of breathlessness but isnt out of breath? I had what I believe was a panic attack monthe ago and everyday have been worried about how I'm breathing. I really bothers me because Sometimes simple walks give me the breathlessness feeling but it sometimes seems that if my mind is focused on a different task I'll be fine....It happens often and I've tried to manipulate it to no avail. I get worried easily and always believe I have some dreadful disease.

Breathlessness?
Hey I wanted to say you're not alone in this. I experience the same thing for no reason at all, I've felt like that sitting down. I say if it keeps worrying you see your doctor about and have them check everything is good. I know I have moments where it's even hard to take a full satisfying breath.
Hope your doing ok
I feel that way sometimes too. I also like you have troubles sometimes not letting my mind run with it. I wish I could tell you to do xyz to make it better but...I can’t. I usually just try doing something that distracts me.
It happens to me all the time! !!!!
Yep. That’s my life for about two years now.
Heyitsthat kid, That is a pretty common symptom for me on and off. It never means that anything is wrong. It's just a creepy feeling. If you distract yourself with music or a pet, or helping someone else notice if it goes away............You'll be ok.
I’m going through same thing right now doctors always says it’s alergies then I think copd and etc :/
Rationally you know, HeyItsThatKidd, that you can breathe. That breathlessness feeling is coming from the tightened muscles of your diaphragm. That panic attack a month ago heightened the anticipation and worry about breathing so that is all you are focused on. When you are doing something else, you are fine. When you are taking a simple walk what is happening is that you are either over breathing or actually holding your breath as you walk. Both will allow you to feel breathless without it having to do with the lungs.
Start practicing deep breathing at home. Go to YouTube and type in Audio DeepBreathing & Relaxation. Watch the video and participate in the techniques teaching you the proper way to breathe. Once you've got it down pat, use the deep breathing at home or when out or when driving in allowing you to keep that proper rhythm of your breath. Breathing comes naturally but breathing properly takes a little practice. I think this will help a lot.
