anyone else???):: does anyone else get a... - Anxiety Support
anyone else???):
Yes yes I have. Chest pain with the flutters yes. If you are nauseous and your heart rate doesn't slow...and doing breathing techniques doesn't help...get yourself to the hosp. Now, I don't say this to worry you...i say this bcas I know what it's like. Every test of mine came back ok. You can't however take a chance and I would never say to anyone "it's just anxiety". Yes it probably...probably is(I say probably bcas i can't be certain)...i had pain and tingling in my arm also...yet was fine. I just used to concentrate on a breathing technique that i used and would think of something that made me smile...its the focusing you see...you have to take yourself away from the flutterings...the more you are aware...the pesky things get worse I swear!!. Come here for support...its amazing and will help if someone can talk you thro it. I have seen ppl having a panic attack and by the time we've chatted to them...theyve calmed right down. I am teary today and I had a lovely message from a friend and her support has cheered me right up. Altho I'm at the other side of anxiety and depression...i still have wobbles. You got this....just remember to breathe. Happy New Year. Janie
My doctor told me that along with flutters you can also get chest pains. But as Janieliza said if it is an un usual pain or if it is truly worrying you because you feel like there is something wrong then it's better to be safe and go to the ER.
The flutter itself can hurt. The pain could come from that. An occasional flutter is quite common. It can be caused by so many things. It’s like a hiccup. Diet and caffeine are a big factor. Anxiety itself can cause it. Then the second you feel this hiccup your body immediately tries to fight or flight. Anxiety comes and exaggerates that feeling. Trust your doctors and testing. I know that can be easier said than done. You can try relaxation techniques or even just taking a walk and getting fresh air can help Focus on heart healthy living which can also help you find comfort in that you are doing things right .
I worked in cardiac ICU for years. I also was on the rescue squad and specifically trained to treat cardiac problems. If you need to feel free to reach out. We’re hear for you.
Errivbr is an old friend here, I think I'm right in saying that his problem is irregular heart beats rather than fast heart beat. He has recently seen a cardioligist but I don't see that the very frequent episodes of irregular heart beat are being addressed.
Errivbr, I was hoping that whoever you saw would consider that electrocardiac procedure to reset the heart beat as regular as we spoke about some time ago. Maybe you've been given some medication to achieve the same purpose. If you're unhappy do keep pestering your GP and stress that your concern is the irregular heartbeat which causes you much anxiety regardless of how good the results of the tests are. You'll get there in the end, this will be resolved.
It used to feel like a tiny pony was kicking inside my chest, or a bird had hit the window. It's noting ( but anoying scary and freaky)
