Good Evening

I noticed that certain foods can trigger an anxiety attack. I haven't had oatmeal in months and I forgot why I stopped eating them until now. I Was almost done with the oatmeal and next thing you know my arms and legs got heavy, vision was blurry and I had an anxiety attack. I haven't felt this weird weakness in months. I was telling my Mom what I was feeling and she pointed out that the same thing happened when I was eating oatmeal before. I wonder if I have hypoglycemia or something 🤔

Diet plays a big part in anxiety and certain foods could trigger it. I don’t think about oatmeal but foods or drinks with caffeine for example. Tea, coffee, chocolate etc . Certain foods will also increase serotonin and make you feel better. Then there are feel good comfort foods your mind tells you make you feel better like macaroni and cheese for many people. For me it’s chocolate, coffee etc. lol. All kidding aside thoughdiet is very important. 😁

Lol. Steak and cheese subs make me feel better 🤣. But it has to be something in that oatmeal. It's not regular packets, I buy the old fashioned oats

I can't think of anything else. I haven't felt like that to where I have a full attack in a while

I can’t say. That’s quite interesting though. What I do know is that certain foods can increase your serotonin and help with anxiety. I personally love oatmeal. It’s easy to eat when I don’t have an appetite. It could be a coincidence though. Diet does play a big role in helping mental health for sure. I don’t think oatmeal would cause hypoglycemia. That is very low blood sugar. That’s more likely when someone doesn’t eat but generally people more prone to diabetes. Eating oatmeal won’t do that. If you eat too much sugar on it I guess it could cause hyperglycemia but without diabetes most people’s pancreas can regulate your sugar intake and dispose of any extra. Might be something to note for when you do go to the doctor. Not serious though. Just next time you go if you are concerned.
