Please help!!

Extreme pain under left breast area hurts when I bend over of take a deep breath! Super scared. Had heart tests and ultrasound of abdomen nothing found but now I fear blood clot on lung or lung cancer!!

Sounds like a cramp..Im no doctor but do you have other symptoms..

Hi Gary, does the pain feel like severe 'stitch'...sharp pain? There are muscles that run between each rib...many people, when they stand or sit, tend to lean slightly one way or the other. I lean also and get a pain lower left ribs - (had ultra sound about ten years ago and, like you, they found nothing.) There are three layers of these intercostal muscles between the ribs and they are easily strained when twisting, coughing or reaching...they take a good while to heal as well once they've been pulled.

Don't laugh at me now...but when mine hurt...I rub Vicks vapour rub at the site of the pain, after a few minutes it tingles and relieves the pain while helping me to get my breath. Give it a try Gary, you have nothing to lose...I hope it works for you like it does for me. xx

It didn’t wake me up in the night at all, it all started while I was getting dressed. It’s an ongoing saga that no one can resolve. I hope it is what you think it is because dr google is telling me all kinds of sinister things. I will take your advice thank you xx

If I were you ( which I'm not)...I'd give Dr Google a miss. Those things are food for your fear....don't feed the fear! xx
