I was wondering , does anxiety also affect the way we talk. I was doing my laundry & was talking out loud , trying to check off the list of things I had to do & it’s like I had a mind fart or something . I didn’t stutter but I said something else that kinda made no sense. I said “ok I’m done with this & those pairs of clothes are already washed” lol like what is “pairs of clothes” :/ idk I felt kind of dumb lol. Does anyone else have this or has gone through this? I am a bit tired too on top of that so idk. I got sleep but like 5 hours worth. Ugh

Yes, happens to me...sometimes out of the blue, then doesn't for days. I know what I'm trying to say but have to stop for a moment before the word(s) actually come out. Don't know why. Sometimes I wonder if it is due to a medication.
Yeah for me I definitely put it as social anxiety. Like I’m confident in my thoughts but then when I try to verbalize them I get in a rut because like you the words may get all jumbled up. I also have this thing where I’m thinking about a million things at once but I’ll mix one thought up & talk on that & it has nothing to do with the current topic I’m discussing with someone . It sucks lol. That’s why I stay to myself really .
It could be , I don’t take meds for my anxiety anymore but I know if I don’t get the best sleep or I may be anxious period , I’ll mix up my thoughts :/ but about the meds , I know when I was taking Valium that was the case for me then.
I have this all the time. I was actually on the phone with my bank and forgot one as on the phone with them as it was up to my ear and then i was like ok PAYPAL whattttttt!!!!
I also stumble over my words constantly. Nothing on Sat makes sense and I always get scared and think I'm having a brain problem.
