Hey everyone. Been having crazy anxiety though out the day Today. Not sure if its from the weather. Upping my prozac to 20mg or all these doctors appts I have. From physical therapy to neurologists to my blood work I have to do tomorrow. Its just all so overwhelming. I went from going to the doctors literally once a year to now probably twice a week or more for the past few months. So hard keeping track and been so forgetful lately I don't know if I'm coming or going half the time. Thanks for letting me vent. Missie
High anxiety today. : Hey everyone. Been... - Anxiety Support
High anxiety today.
Vent away. We all get overwhelmed. You are not alone.
Thank you so much it's just so frustrating it's like a merry go rounds of doctors and I just want to be fixed
I definitely understand and relate. If you can, try not to think of yourself as broken. That only enables your anxiety to intensify. You will find your way and in the mean time just live your life.
Thank you it's just tough it's literally a pain in the neck and then in the arm so they're trying to figure out what it is. Their thinking it's the bulging disc I'm thinking it's something else it just never ends and then I start thinking that I got something else worse and then I get symptoms everywhere else it'll stop one place one week Another Place Another week it just keeps going.
Hi Mpa ~ well done for 'venting' 😊❤️️~ it's a great release, isn't it? And, it's much better than holding everything in and causing further stress and distress!
Not sure about upping the Prozac ~ only you and your gp would know about the repercussions of that particular medication.
As for a 'bulging disc' ~ it can cause horrible nerve pain, if in the neck/spine.
At least your symptoms are being taken seriously, and despite the constant visits to doctors, it sounds as though you're in good hands, and all possibilities are being looked into?
Good luck with the blood tests today ❤️️ ~ and perhaps the blood test results will point elsewhere that'll prove to be an easy situation to resolve! 😊
Wishing you well, Barbara xx
Thank you for your reply,,I def have tons of nerve pain in arms, shoulders etc, but drs saying that wouldnt be cause of disc and also have tingling at times all over my body, now been diagnosed with carpatunnel which i always knew i had and just let it go and something with my ulnar nerve under elbow as i type alll day for 16 years, so all this combined really brings on all the anxiety and the fact that i still have to work makes it uncomfortable at times at my desk,, i cant win lol
Hi Missie ~ I wonder if Doctors have lost the total ability to just say "I don't know"..??? May I ask, where IS the bulging disc you have, just as a matter of interest? 😉
Oh! Carpal Tunnel is a real pain (used to be quaintly called 'repetitive strain injury', I'm sure you'll know all too well 'why') ~ and yes, 16 years of typing all day will do that to you. (Been there, done that, and we're both wearing the same T-Shirt..! ❤️️)
You've also got the ulnar nerve ~ the nerve that is agony when your so-called 'funny bone' is hit and it's SO very far from funny..! (I've just turned a whiter shade of pale on your behalf! OUCH!)
Ye gods, that's a lot of pain, and nerve pain can travel a very long way! 😭😭😭 Have you been given anything for the 'nerve' pain? Any offer of an Op for the Ulnar?
I'd imagine the pain you experience could only be totally and utterly breathtaking. 😳😟😡 That's enough to shatter your nerves, big time. And, as you say you have to work anyway. What a horrible situation to be in. ❤️️
No wonder you experience Anxiety. Are the medical self-appointed 'geniuses' even offering you some help with 'nerve pain' ... apart from Prozac which isn't, from what I know about it, renowned for relieving that sort of pain...
Have you been offered/ taken Lyrica (Pregabalin)..? I've got trigeminal neuralgia and sciatica and all that 'fun' ~ and I do get some benefit from the Lyrica (let's say, I know when I'm late in taking it!) ~ but I realise that not everyone relates well to each and every medication, unfortunately.
I do so hope that there's an acceptable solution for you, after your whirl around all the Doctors.
Personally, I think you're holding yourself together very well, with all the physical pain you're going through ~ hang on in there! ❤️️ You're doing really well, in my opinion ~ just keep 'venting' and letting the pressure out ~ you're doing all the right things! Blessed Be, with Love, Barbara xx
Thanks so much, the bulg is mild in the c-5 c-6 and had two mris and neurosurgeon said cause its mild sent me to therapy, now tues i go to neurologist for the carpa tunnel and ulnar nerve to see what can be done, as far as the pain i had an epidural shot in the neck and did nothing for me, i use a tens machine now which does releive some and do not take meds for it as i'm a wimp, the most pain i have is when im sitting here at my desk or at night at times depending how i'm sleeping.
I don't think it's just you... I didn't sleep at all last night and came into work about 2 hours late today because I was so fatigued from lack of sleep. Then looked in the mirror with baggy eyes and dark skin on my cheek bones, that didn't help my anxiety.
sorry to hear my friend, it sucks but we just have to keep telling ourselves that the anxiety is what blows everything out of wack (easier said then done, i know )
