Hi everyone.. I have been having some bad nights. And today I feel lost .. I feel useless. How can I get out of this emtyniess.

Hi Yellowmellow, On days that you feel this way, it's sometimes a good time to do something for others and feel that accomplishment. Going through closets and drawers and filling a bag of useful items for those less fortunate as well as actually dropping it off, can be an uplifting experience. Your down day became the highlight of someone else's day.
If you are not up to the challenge of doing that, then I suggest, Combing your hair, putting on some makeup, a pair of small earrings and a nice but casual outfit. If you look the part of being all together it will make you feel that way. I usually head out to a big box store, walk around smile at others especially children and treat yourself no matter how small it may be. By the time you get home you will be in a high. Again, you will have accomplished something other than feeling useless around the house.
I hope some of these ideas might work for you or add to them something you enjoy doing to give you that lift. My best xx

Anybody went through these feelings. How did you overcome?
I find distraction helps. Just try and do something, anything to take your mind off your problems. Try not to fight the feelings, accept them and then try to occupy yourself. Not easy I know. I woke up at 2am last night and instead of laying there i got up plugged in my guitar (and headphones) and just distracted myself by playing. Keep your mind active if you can. It will get better in time. Good luck

I think the use of ativan is doing something. I can’t find no help with this... I tried doing it myself but the feelings get so bad I’m back to the beginning.
Doesn't matter if you have to take medication. If something is working for you keep with it for now, and once you feel better you might be able to do it yourself without tablets. It's not easy it's finding out what helps and what doesn't

I just followed my own advice and combed out my hair, put on some makeup and earrings, a new white sweater and a pair of black slacks. Felt confident in just doing that. Went to the store, walked in with assurance in every step I took. I'm home now, and don't really want to go back to my jeans and sweatshirt. It's such a high feeling in feeling good about yourself. xx
Agora1 I am not too technically proficient and this is the first forum I have ever joined, so my above post is referring to your idea of getting nicely dressed and going to a store and treating yourself. The other thoughts are good too, but this one resonated.
