I have adrenaline rushes and burning feeling through my body with a feeling that I’m about to die and feel all hot and sweaty and that I want to phone an ambulance ? Is this normal I honestly feel like I’m going insane like please I don’t know what else to do I can’t live like this!!! I’ve recently upped my dose of citalopram to 40mg maybe this is why it’s gotten a lot worse idk

Ah, I've just seen that you're 22. I wondered as what you're describing are symptoms of menopausal hot flushes - but you're rather too young for this! However, if you've noticed any menstrual changes it's worth seeing your doctor to get a hormone panel done. Sending you hugs! xxxx

Hi caits im sorry to see your still having problems if i remember rightly you were going to your doctor to try and get some help ? The citalopram is a good treatment for depression and anxiety going from 20mg to 40mg is a big step has your doctor put your dose up when did you start the higher dose as it can take 3/4 week before you get the full affects in the mean time you may get side effects from going to a higher dose give it a chance if you get more problems go to your doctor ! Do you only get these problems at night ? Please take care and let me how your getting on david x

Hi caits the higher dose will take a while to work but as said it may take a while for it to work ! I was going to suggest asking your doctor to put you on something like amitriptaline which may help you feel more stable and rested during the day. ! I can tell you now the world not ending anytime soon as ive got to much to do lol ! Try and find ways to relax there are plenty of places you can get relaxation cds either free or or on ebay i truely wise you well take care david x

Your not alone, I get the same exact feelings and when I do call an ambulance they don't find anything physically wrong besides high blood pressure "at the moment" having them there helps, but it very frustrating to feal like your dying, but nothing's wrong...
