Good Afternoon!

I have health and death anxiety. I am flying this coming Saturday to Italy and I am already sick to my stomach. I keep seeing us falling out of the air into the ocean. I would love some advice.

Just try to think about being in Italy instead. I understand your fear. And things that are out of our control. But, don't think about the negatives. Keep yourself busy with preparing for your holiday!

Thank you. I am trying too but it is hard. it is a long flight!

Awww Italy, how lovely. Where are you going? We were in Lake Garda a couple of years ago, loved it! Could you maybe get something from your doctor to take before you fly?

I am going to Rome and Florence. I have anxiety pills so I will probably take those. I never had this fear till recently

Hi Betha, a friend of mine takes Ativan otherwise known as Lorazapam. You take a small R/X and it works pretty quickly and you don't feel nervous. I took it with me when we drove to Quebec City last year which was beautiful btw! It works and I've read it's not addictive contrary to what's been written.

thank you for that. I will look into it. I understand the facts and statistics but I still think in my head my plane is going to be the one that goes down. Like you can give me every fact in the world but my brain goes wait it is your plane that will fall out of the sky.

It is a horrible feeling. It scares me that this is how I think.

Explain your situation to your doctor he/she should give you something to ease your predicament. My Dad was frightened to fly so he went to doctor & he was prescribed diazepam 5mgs & was only given 5 tablets.
