ECG: Would clogged arteries and stuff if... - Anxiety Support
ECG
ECG shows how well the heart is working and the blood flow would be essential to that. So if arteries were clogged it wouldnt neccasserally tell on the ecg. Though if blood flow was severely impaired something would of been picked up .But if u have high cholesterol ( which can be done on a blood test) then you can find out the results from ur doc. Pay him a visit and tell him your concerns. And if your concerned about your diet, also you can ask for advice too hope this helps a little Take care.
Hi Sandy1710, If the arteries were significantly blocked, it may show up on an EKG. Normally the best way to check for any artery narrowing is through an invasive test known as an Angiogram. It is not done unless a doctor suspects that there is a problem. The doctors usually do a Cholesterol test as well as talking about your risk factors. They are obesity, poor diet, high blood pressure, no exercise, smoking and high levels of the bad cholesterol. Even at that it normally takes time for the plaque to build up in the arteries. The chances in a 25y.o. male are low to slim.
I was worried about that but after bloods, urine and ECGs everything came back Normal also did make me breathe in and out and listened to my heart and said my arteries sound all normal and that's after bout ten years of living on takeaways and being 27. Still got to wait for 24 hours ECG, but think I'm normal and ok and just stress and anxiety worrying about these things are making it worse and I am ok.
So drained with all this. Think depression has hit me hard now. I can see my heart beat everywhere in my left chest so I'm worried it's overworking so hence the cholesterol worry
